I have a really cool looking Personna injector razor and it's making me nuts!
How you ask? Well, I can't get a decent shave with it. I have tried all sorts of different angles and amounts of pressure and nothing. It's like I never put a razor to my face and all the stubble is still there.
If anyone has experience with these Star Trek looking devices and can offer any clues on how to use it to get a decent shave, I would sincerely appreciate it.

I think I know which Personna you have ... Lovely shape, sleek curved brushed metal back? That one? Yeah Now, I had some struggles with this one but now I simply cannot not shave effectively with it. I agree, the angle is narrow, but it is there. For me, the breakthrough was to seriously lighten up my touch and shave off a couple of days of growth. With a very light, almost skimming touch you can feel when the blade catches and so get the angle right. After a patchy first pass, the second and third cleans up - you've found the angle. Try it! Good luck, because it really is a beautiful razor.

Man, those Star Trek injectors, the Personna and the PAL Adjustable. They look sooooooo cooooool but shave so disappointingly. They're very choosy about angle and, unlike Schicks and the Injectomatic, it's not at all intuitive. And then, when you do get the angle, it's still a disappointingly mild and patchy shave to me.
They're for looking not for shaving...

I did ... but having found it, I've found it. When you do, you do.

I have two, and gave up on trying to get them to work for me.

Well, I certainly don't feel as bad now knowing I'm not the only one having difficulty with them. Think I'll just look at it for now.

Yup look at it. I had similar poor performance results also and I look at mine. I figure that if it's an injector then one should get a decent shave but after giving it a chance ,it didn't work for me so now it sits in its; case looking spacey, while Schick does the work.

I'll add that I've also been less than wowed by the PAL adjustable injector. Looks cool, but it just doesn't work anywhere near as good as the Schicks.

Yeah, got to agree with Paul on that one
I have came across people having problems with the PAL Adjustable before....These are not Schick's as they are a different animal....I find the Schick's are far easier to us and Pussy Cats by comparison.... I can understand to a point why some people may struggle with them as the head is almost the same angle as a Modern Cartridge System like the Gillette Sensor for example....I find them so easy to use because I used Cartridge Razors for many years.....
I would forget about so called SE shaving angles with these razors and use it like a cartridge razor....The PAL adjustable works/adjusts by opening and closing the comb on the horizontal plane......This is somewhat unusual and when its on a higher more aggressive setting their is very little blade gap on the horizontal plane....You have to find the blade....Takes some listening skills...
I find these razors to be one of the most aggressive razors I've ever came across.....These razors weren't popular when they came out because you have got to understand the design....Unfortunately, most people never did..
They are very Complex in their Simplicity and require some thought....If you can master these it will make even the OCMM feel like a Pussy Cat..
In my books they are one of the finest Whisker Whacking Machines ever made.....

Mon 6th June I recently acquired a NOS Personna injector. I have been urged by others to give it a Try , so will see how to goes in SOTD.
