The French had quite a healthy razor business going pre WW1. This example is from a large company who started making bicycles, threw in military arms along the way, and also figured they might crank out some razors to boot. This really is a very nice shaver and presents in person as a very well made, essentially handmade, SE razor.

Beautiful specimen RM! I am more familiar with PAX straight razors (I don't own one). I've seen a handle variation of the PAX that looks very similar to the Kampfe Star 1902 LC.
