I would settle for all the razors that have gone into landfills the last hundred years, in the condition they were in when they were thrown out!

I know this thread is old but in my search today i discovered that an 8|32 thread fits my 1914, now just have to make the handle tomorrow . Looks crooked in 1st pic but thats just angle i took pic , actually fits straight on and thread is not sloppy loose. Odd. To my knowledge, 1914s used a 5/32" thread. Maybe some didn't.

From what i read its supposed to be a British standard thread (Whitworth)not made anymore . Mine could have been altered too, but now i have a start to a handle

IF it is a BSW (Britsh Standard Whitworth) thread it should be 5/32" 24 threads per inch thread, not an 8/32" of some kind. Although - on my web site - I myself claim that it's most likely a BSW thread, I'm not fully convinced. For two reasons: - Why would an American Company started by a bunch of German immigrants (Kampfe) decide on a British screw thread? - There is no 5/32" 24 thread in the Whitworth standard. BSW 5/32" threads have 32 threads per inch, not 24. At best they resemble what a BSW 5/32" 24 thread would look like if it existed. Which it doesn't. And that's why you cannot get any 5/32" 24 taps and dies. One of these days I need to get some thread gauges and check the thread geometry.

I also noticed all 3 heads have different sized openings. The Gem jr has way larger hole than the other 2.

k....went back to reading up on this . Brass threads are 55° British Whitworth threads . Thats explains why the brass screw fit perfectly

After having looked closely at the threads in the images above and taking some images of the threads on my own handles I am almost convinced that the threads are not BSW. The thread angle looks larger than 55 degrees. To substantiate this claim I will need to get thread gauges and more (very) high resolution, in focus images of threads. Give me a few weeks or months to prepare my case. That leaves the question - what thread are they
