I was the lucky recipient of two PAL Injecto Matics today. While they are both lovely one is nearly NOS and the difference in handle color is striking. Both of these are British made and I also have one made in the USA. There has been discoloration on the handle of that one as well. Does anyone have a method for bringing back the whiteness of the original handles?

When talking about the same issue regarding a Gillette Slim Twist handle, someone on another forum suggested using Hydrogen peroxide, but haven't tried it myself.

I wish I had one I was willing to sacrifice to try it out on! I tried some bleach on a white Schick G8 handle one time and it did seem to help remove some of the yellowing.

All 3 of yours look fantastic.....I love the NOS, but I also love the other two, that have a striking...."Patina", for lack of a better word...

Was gonna show a picture for you to see what I did with mine but can't attach a pic with a reasonable size for you to see.

Sorry KarlG, mine has a transparent handle so I was just gonna make a bad joke ... If I were you I would start with the most gentle approach: soft toothbrush and toothpaste. One step up is to add a few grains of borax. I have used this method for different collectables and works just fine. Never caused any damages. For something a little bit stronger, I was once referred to this article www.retrofixes.com/2013/10/how-to-clean-whiten-yellowed-plastics.html. I was cleaning hard plastic so not the same. I would try a low concentration hydrogen peroxide and climbing up the ladder if necessary. Good luck. Oh, and would definitely cover with painters tape that beautifully colored neck and head. Just in case.

Karl, I've been trying to upload an old picture but the systems tells me something about the size of it and the thread reaching its maximum limit, even when I was uploading only one picture weighting 33 kb, so here you go www.dropbox.com/sh/21uy64ue34byrmt/AAA7xzZerK-GGDCO8AL2GWdua?dl=0Also, I got a brit PAL just today. Not nearly as mint as yours, and tried to bring its handle back to white. Nothing worked. Soaked in hot water, lysol and dish soap for the regular disinfect, toothpaste, dish soap, fels-naphta, diluted and undiluted hydrogen peroxide, and oxiclean paste, all agitated with a toothbrush. No luck. Just in case, I rinsed after each attempt.

I had high hopes for the hydrogen peroxide. By any chance did you try some diluted bleach?
