After the last couple of days, I have had a few stiff belts. It has done the job. Ohhh Yeah! Dewars 12 will most certainly do the job....And in a veddy veddy smooth fashion....I think I prefer that Derwars blend over the JW Black....But thats just a matter of opinion.. BTW....I toasted you and yours a couple nights ago with one of my finest Scotches... Wishing you guys the very best and a very smooth and healthy homecoming for your newest family member.

Well that is much too kind of you my good sir. I hope one day to have the honor of toasting you in person. If you or yours ever find there way down to Texas, and are close, let me know, I will surely have a wonderful dram of DeWars ready and waiting. I know this thread is about Scotch, however, I must say that the Evan Williams Black label that I am sipping on tonight, is wonderful. It has a smokey top note, in the middle a bit of Vanilla and Caramel. To finish I have a citrus taste. I know it is similiar to shaving as a YMMV, but I do think for the money, a 5th of Evan Williams Black label is money well spent. It isnt Knob Creek or Wild Turkey, but it doesnt have to, or pretend to be. It is a solid bourbon, that is acceptable for sipping or mixing. Do I prefer other Bourbons, yes, but do they perform for the same or lower price? Absolutely not. I would stay away from Evan Williams Green, or White. I have tried them both and they are nothing more than grain alcohol at best, and rock gut at worst. Evan Williams is dollar for dollar one of the better bourbons out there. To my palate it tastes better than Jim Beam white label. If you have the opportunity to try some of the EW bottled in Bond label, as well as the 1793 batch, you would be hard pressed to find a better tasting spirit for the price.
