For me personally, the shave didn't hold a candle to what I get from an injector, gem damaskeene or heck a regular gem 1912. Was it beautiful to look at? Most certainly!

That is how I am. Function over beauty.

I've been shaving with a Streamline for the past 2 weeks...
The shave ( aggressiveness and all ) feels like a blend of the best characteristics of 2 razors I'm partial to: The '14 EverReady Little Lather Catcher and '24 EverReady Shovelhead I get a good sense of the blade's edge for the accuracy one needs for edging around a goatee or trimming sideburns from this razor.I like that the blade sitting securely in place within the frame making conventional blade stops a non-issue,the curved blade cover felt comfortably familiar.
The Streamline handled well,I believe it weighs aproximately 12 grams more than a GEM 1912 or about 8 grams more than an OCMM.Handle diameter and surface texture provided a comfortable solid grip.
I don't think lather flows through and drains through the Streamline quite as well as most SE's....The effectivness of this razor declined sharply if I didn't lather properly.Optimal lather or a bit thin was right in the Streamline's strikezone...Thick pasty lather was a Streamline Killer and not easily rinsed clean...
My recent use of glycerine soap has been tremendously beneficial allowing easy flow thru, clear rinse out during the shave and most importantly highly efficient whisker whackage....
I'm gonna say that for a go to razor, the Streamline's a solid top 3 draft pick.
My belief is that your best SE Razor is the one your hand instinctively reaches for early in the morning when your brain couldn't care less...

although the streamline certainly isnt my favorite, I may take a set off his hands, razor, stropper, untouched strop and white plastic case. if nothing else, it looks damn beautiful on display.

Used my Streamline this morning with a GEM Blue Star blade. Every time I use this razor I like it more. I mean, I seriously really, really like it a lot. A whole lot.

This arrived yesterday (Saturday) had to work, cool to see this when I got home.Still a hint of shaving soap residue under the flip tab,I don't think the seller did much clean up,didn't need to.... Streamlines are nice to look at,but it's performance that wins my affection.I can throw a GEM PTSE Blade in these things, leave it there and get 14 outstanding shaves before flipping it open for a fresh blade 2 weeks later.Might be a couple more shaves than 14 left in it,but I change blades every other Sunday to easily keep a consistent 14 shave count. The Streamline's become my daily razor, except for an occasional romp with an ER '14 IMO.....2 of the finest looking SE razors of all time and a both a blast to shave with. These pics are right out of the box,got real lucky on it,mint condition, stocked blade boxes and all.Only thing that would have made it better was if the instructions had survived.

That's a gorgeous set! Did you find it in the wild, or auction?

That's a gorgeous set! Did you find it in the wild, or auction? From the dark dusty corner of an auction flying way under the radar, the seller had two of these for sale that closed 5 minutes apart, got lucky...snagged it at a killer price.

Lovely. I would like to pick up a full set one day but its not a high priority currently. I have a lonely Streamline without a case so at least I get to use one. If the shaves were better than the OCMM for me, then I'd be shelling out the $ for it immediately. As it is though, I can wait. If only there was an open comb version of the Streamline...
