This one was a good shave, not great but still good enough for the party! I want to try out the other blades and see if the results are any different.

Usually those CVS blades are very nice in the 1912. Sorry to hear it did not do better for you. About the smaller brush... I have a smaller AOS knot in a Fuller brush handle. It works pretty good for me. I face lather though so that might be a thing.

Great vid. May need to keep an eye out for the Old Spice Cream. It lathers well, and even with the new brush, im sure with my boar and my other badgers, there wont be a problem. I like the lime smell, its really underwhelming, but still there... Not sure if that makes sense. I was hoping it would be more prominent than it was. The protection was still good however. Still slick and provided protection. I will keep it in the rotation, and try it with other things, such as a face lather, and different brush.

Even so, it still was slick and protective, just not the kind of lather I was expecting out of a cream. As far as the blades, I think had I done a 3 pass shave, it would have been better, but it was getting near the end of its life cycle. I like the smaller brush and I think it just needs more time to be broken in. The knot seems very dense (not sure if that makes sense) but it holds LOTS of water, so I may, in the future, face lather with it and see if that helps. All in all the brush isnt worth the price I paid for it, but it will remain in the rotation.

I will probably have them before the week's end. I will have to make next week Old Spice week. That sounds like a plan.

Perhaps for next Sundays shave, will be old Spice Sunday! Has a nice ring to it.... I'll let it grow after Wednesday so there is sufficient growth for the feather blade in the Auto Strop.
