Today before coming home my wife had texted me with "your razor and some piece is here". I was scratching my head, as although I am expecting 13 razors I knew they would not arrive until Wednesday. I get home and on my kitchen table is a Rhodium replated long comb, which I was excepting from Dave (OCRazorman on eBay and West Coast Razor), although what else was sitting there was unexpected to say the least...a freshly replated in Rhodium OCMM. WOW, I was clueless and somewhat shocked. I was not excepting this What I sometimes often forget is that people like Dave are hobbyist, they do this out of the love of shaving, and trying to keep some of our most loved pieces in new or better shape. Dave had asked me about selling my Rhodium Replated NEW, he knew that I loved them and I had informed him of my love for the Original Safety Razors; especially those by Star, Gem, Ever-Ready. Well what a surprise to come home to this...just unexpected. Thank you Dave, once again you show that you are not just a Hobbyist, but a really nice human being, which is rarely seen in today's fast past eCommerce world, and trust me I know, as I run 200 plus eCom sites. Without further ado, my all new Rhodium Replated OCMM from Dave..thanks again man you rock!!!

Absolutely gorgeous. One of the finest razors ever made made even better.
That's a pretty phenominal thing for Dave to do.

Wow! That's one fine looking razor! I'm curious what the weight is like with the Rhodium plating. Do you think there's any difference? Looks great. Very nice of him. You obviously have good karma.

No difference in weight, although it seems to be slightly "smoother" in the shave, which could be just in my head.

I'm in love. How do I get one of mine replated & how much it would run me. Do you know if it was taken apart & reassembled?

I'm in love. How do I get one of mine replated & how much it would run me. Do you know if it was taken apart & reassembled? It does not feel like it was taken apart. As far as cost, I do not know, as Dave had gifted this me. I do know that he is very reasonable on his plating cost. I have seen many of his replated SE's sell in the $39 to $49 range. You can always shoot him an email, he is pretty prompt at getting back to you. I am thinking of having a 1912 done in Rose Gold, just for something completely different...plus can one really have too many 1912's in their collection?

I did a google search and only come up with West Coast Shaving. Would that be correct?
If so, he doesn't advertise the plating service? Or does he?
Thanks!
