20190209 Liverpool, EnglandNothing to write home about. And still using Meißner Tremonia. Because it works. That Schick blade is on its fifth shave, and I think it needs replacing.

Sat 9th Feb. Cyril Salter /MasetoED. 2 Band P & B Spitfire Ever Ready New "Jewel" Combination Razor Gem S/S [ 1 ] P & B SpitfireA/S Splash I ended up this rotation as I started with my favourite ER Razor. Despite the description on the box, everyone identifies it as a "Streamline". I had a really good Shave yesterday with a 1912, but using the "Streamline" takes it to a different level. Provided that I take care and use a very light touch it delivers me a parade ground finish, and I achieved that goal today. The only post Shave problem is that I may well have to indulge in some "Face Stroking" throughout the day.

20190210 Isle of ManSo that was different. Scottish Fine Soaps Thistle & Black Pepper. A brushless, latherless gel that actually works. The aftershave reminds me very much of their original series. And the face and beard soap makes for great beard preparation. What is not to like?

SE Sunday's Shave Cold Water Wash Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap Jayaruh #326 C.V. Heljestrand Heljestrand wedge CWR Barbasol Brisk AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #326 synthetic horse brush. I did two passes with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher razor with a Heljestrand wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Barbasol Brisk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I would once again like to thank twhite for introducing me to the world of wedge shaving.
