Beautiful. You will really like it, I believe. It's not as pristine as 120inna55 's one, but I'm getting really good at cleaning up razors. I'm four days into cleaning my GEM/Zinn lather catchers and I'm hopeful that in another week they'll look good enough. The plastic handle of the Enders will either be a breeze or a challenge. And then there are days of designing a blade adapter. I'm tempted to do a step-by-step "diary" of how I did it and put it on my website. Sign me up for an adapter.

Question: How exactly do you use an original blade with an injector blade? Is the Enders blade like a shim with the injector blade on top, or do you cut down the Enders blade to sit behind the injector blade? The latter would be really easy to do 3D-printed.

Adapters (if they happen) will be "open source". You can get the design files for free from the internet, send them to a local guy with a 3D printer and have them printed - thus saving on transatlantic postage.

My Enders Speed is not with me yet, but I have started thinking about a blade adapter: That's a model of an Enders blade. More will have to wait until I have the actual razor and some blades. Anyone interested in the patents for the head and the blade: razors.click/patents/US1791552/the handle: razors.click/patents/US1791553/

You can use a new and sharp injector blade plus adapter instead of a 90-year-old rusty and blunt vintage blade? Just an idea...

No, no, I understand the benefit of using a fresh new injector blade and how it has to be "shimmed" to be functional. I'm just asking how the fabricated plastic shim is an advantage over the antique blade being used as a shim.

I don't have my Enders yet, but as far as I understand you'd need to remove the front of the vintage blade to make it still go into the head properly, no? Even then, aligning the injector blade properly would be hit and miss as the Enders doesn't have blade stops. My hope is that the adapter will make that easier. Not sure how, but I have several ideas. I need the razor though to see what can be done. I want to do this because I can. Or not. But I need to find out.

My Enders has arrived. Yay! However - I need advice as well. Which injector blades are you guys using? I tried a used, blunted one (no idea which brand) and it won't fit. The edge of an Enders blade appears to be 37.37mm There is a bit of wiggle room and the width of the inside of the head at the front is 38.00mm. Any blade that wants to be used in this razor can't be wider than that. By the rule of the laws of physics and geometry. My injector blade is 38.2 mm wide. I think they are supposed to be 1.5 inches, that's 38.1mm. Still too wide.
So, which brands fit and which don't?
P.S.: Gorgeous razor. Love it. A hearty "Thank you" to the enablers.

My Enders blade:37.4mm My injector blade:37.95mm My blade is a Personna, I think. Thanks a lot, Jim. That would work. Personna blades are cheap and plentiful. Five minutes later: I've tried one and... 38.1mm Won't fit. I'm sure I could grind down a tiny bit at the sides, but that's something I'd like to avoid. The search continues. I think Schick Proline was mentioned somewhere.

Schick Proline B-20 indeed!!! 37.95mm - it's close but it fits. I have something to work with. Looking at the Personna and the Proline side by side it's quite interesting to see the differences. The Personna is quite rectangular, the Schick has rounded corners and the holes are slightly different. Pictures tomorrow. I'm not complaining.
