I thought I'd share this tip with you ER14 shavers. Early blades did not have cut outs. On the ER14 those little tabs on the side are there to hold the blade in place as you close the lid. I used some transparent tape and covered the cut outs on my blade and that made it much easier for me to close the lid. I am not a fan of the ER14 lid design. It is very hard for me to open. Does anyone have a tip for opening it easily and safely? No tips from me. I usually do not have a problem with them.

Tue 26th March Cyril Salter/ Maseto ED. 2Band P & B Spitfire Schick Repeater B1 Schick Proline [ 7 ] P & B Spitfire A/S Splash Shaving with an "Oldie" such as the BI may look daunting, because of its appearance. However, being quite heavy it encourages the use of a No Pressure/ Use The Weight Technique. I find that during initial clearance the Razor feels quite harsh and short strokes are best, it then settles down. I completed the Shave without any problems, and because I was able to vary the cutting angle attained a rather nice close all round finish.I fact the quality of Shave finish is probably better than I get with some Modern Injectors that use a single blade.

Williams Wednesday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Williams Mug Shaving Soap Jayaruh #313 Ever-Ready Little Lather Catcher Gem Blue Star SE CWR Pinaud Clubman My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #313 two-band badger brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready Little Lather Catcher razor with a Gem Blue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
