The shave was 45 minutes ago and feeling smoother and smoother as the whiskers dehydrate and shrink back a bit. I've always wondered why my face feels noticeably smoother a good 15 to 30 minutes after a shave than it does immediately after the cutting. This is a lesson many people never learn. It's where "chasing the baby" came from. Shavers who keep making passes to achieve BBS often yield only irritation. I'm a head and face shaver and I shave in the shower. I don't have natural baldness, so my scalp has plenty of dense stubble. Immediately after shaving, my scalp is always BBS, but my cheeks and neck have a mild roughness. About 20 minutes later, it's usually BBS all over. This is because my scalp has less dermis and fat into which it can hide, but my neck and cheeks are much more fleshy, so the minor stubble retracts when I dry down.

Another great shave today. I think I'm changing my mind about this razor. Used Mikes orange an black pepper for soap. Nice.

We made it to RI, but I have not been able to find any injector blades. I may have to make this a No Shave Vacay.

Sun 4th August. Cyril Salter /Maseto ED. 2band P & B Spitfire Mongoose B3 Feather Pro [ 6 ] P & B Spitfire A/S Splash A very nice relaxed Shave this morning as the Mongoose seems very forgiving after using the King Cobra yesterday. Again the Shave time seemed quite quick, but the finish quality was really good.
