Had an early morning shave today with my Green TNNSER. Great 3 pass shave. Finished off with Florida Water. No pic as I had to get straight to work.

SOTD Stirling SEptember 25th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap TNNSER 3D Gem Stainless PTFE (?+2) 2019 30DC Meetup Brush (28mm, Destroyer Class) Stirling 2019 Blood on Steel soap and AS Pereira Unbreakable Lather Bowl Very impressive finish for my first outing with the TNNSER. A generous splash of AS was applied and I felt no sting from the alcohol. Have a great day my friends!

Okay, I need to get a few things off my chest, which means this may well be a long post (even for me). First, I want to apologize for the picture….it doesn’t do the razor, brush or the soap justice ...I've been out of town and didn’t have time to do a better staging/photo setup. Secondly, as you can tell by the subpar photo, this was an all-TOST shave: the TNNSER 3-D with a GEM SS PTFE (6), Jayaruh #270 synthetic brush and Morning Tost Ginger-Bergamot soap. I keep forgetting to put it in the photo, but I finished with Brian’s Krampert’s Finest Frostbite after shave….Krampert’s Finest is still the only after shave I ever use (Bay Rum and Frostbite). With the preliminaries out of the way, I want to say that as I was shaving I kept thinking this is an amazing shave -- the best one I can ever remember having. The razor sings like a Lather Catcher, is as mild as a Featherweight, but as efficient as a Micromatic and as maneuverable as an Enders. I almost always have an issue on my neck/throat area….especially with SE razors. Most times I just don’t worry about closeness on that part of my face -- especially if I’m concerned about irritation showing -- other times I just damn-the-torpedos and take my irritation like a man. Only a couple of mild unmentionables have managed to get that area reasonably smooth and irritation-free….until today. The TNNSER 3-D was so easy to use that I started really pushing it….daring it to bite, bleed or irritate me. I mean I REALLY tried. I shaved fast, long strokes, against-the-grain, without skin stretching; but instead of some bleeders, or an errant nick, or irritation that could be easily seen on a Google satellite photo, I was smooth….I mean really smooth. I’m touching my face every two minutes, and not only is my skin not irritated, it’s not sensitive-to-the-touch (which also sometimes happens). I am completely blown-away. There are those shaves that you think: that was a SOTD, or SOTM, or even the exceedingly rare SOTY -- this felt like the Shave of a Lifetime. Maybe it was a fluke, I hope not and I doubt it, but I’m looking forward to making sure it wasn’t by continuing to shave with this beauty. I legitimately feel bad for those folks who won’t experience a shave like this; but I’m patting myself on the back for purchasing 2!!! I know some people feel like back-ups are borderline hoarding, but there are some razors I NEVER want to be without, and this is that razor. So I’m entering into weepy one-too-many-beers-”I Love You, Man” territory ...but I have to say that I am so grateful to have found this place and you folks. Every item (sans the blade) was a product of your effort, your ingenuity, and your generous spirit of sharing your skills with the rest of us. This shave would not have been possible today without TOST, and while it truly was the best shave I can ever remember having, it was made so much more special knowing that you all made it happen. Okay, I’m going to stop now ...and I’ll be posting this shave on different forums, however, I’ll be leaving out the heartfelt emotion. Thank you again: Tom, Andreas and Jim for bringing this razor to life and to my door; thank you, Jim for my favorite brush; and my thanks to VintageLife for this outstanding soap -- the scent is still coming through, by the way.

Beautiful Man!! I felt like I was there...😳 No, seriously....You really nailed it, great review of the shave, razor, kit, and the soulful part was sincere and as a brother TOSTer I concur...What we have here is a very rare and priceless comradery and scene. And normaly...a razor review like this would seem a little like raving....BUT, I am a lucky Tnnser owner too...and I can dig it! Very astute observation and well put! 👍👏

That was an awesome post. I think we all feel that way about this razor. I forgot to put a picture in with the green razor post up there. I used a jayaruh brush with Morning TOST soap as well. Great minds eh?

That is an exceptional razor, the soap is a great performer, and that brush was pretty good too. It was a TOSTy shave for sure. And you said "Andreas" just fine, I think.

So it has been a busy week, but aren't they all. I received my TNNSER last Saturday in time to get it in for my anniversary shave, but I have covered that already.
I have continued to use it as my daily driver along with my Jayaruh #358 and various Stirling Soaps and today for my birthday was shave six with it. I must say it might not be the most beautiful razor I own, but it is my most beautifully efficient and smooth razor by far. It would definitely make my island castaway razor for maneuverability, efficiency and just plain old not irritating the old man's face.
Thank you Tom for dreaming it up, Andreas for making the 3D files and Jim for bringing it to the masses. Well those lucky few of us who got in on this amazing historical opportunity.
I hope one day it winds up in the hands of some young wet shaver who is curious about the history behind it, like we all have for some of our razors. And thanks to the internet and forums like this they will be able to find that story and the community that brought it to life.
Kudos to everyone out there happy shaves to all.

Thank you Tom for dreaming it up, Andreas for making the 3D files and Jim for bringing it to the masses. Just to clarify: Tom designed the head and made the 3D files for it. I designed the handle and made the file for that. Then we made sure the two halves fit together.

The design encorporates beautiful lines like my favorite designer Harley Earl. Cars wouldn't be the same without his vision and the TNNSER 3D wouldn't be the same without all of you.
