How do you organize your collection? What does your shave cave look like? I use jewelry and makeup cases to hold my razors. The makeup case on the right holds only SE razors, the one on the left only unmentionables. Fuzzy, I did my best with some photo editing! I'm in the process of building a larger brush shelf as my collection has outgrown the one pictured. The shelves are the perfect height to accommodate razors. The only ones that won't fit in my collection are early Valet and Autostrop razors without a detachable handle. This holds primarily aftershaves at the moment, but a few mugs, unmentionables and extras as well.

Just moved into a new house, still have boxes that need to be unpacked. I'll get around to posting when the day arrived that I can get it all setup!

I have a two doors cabinet. But I can't show it ... all the eight shelves are plenty of unmentionables. Between the other shaving sistems, my few SE safery razors are cased in a pocket knife roll bag. (United Cutlery UC1183)

Here is where I shave. I stage the next day's shave next to my sink. Pretty simple. On the other side of the room across from the sink is my cabinet where my soaps, aftershaves, and blades are kept. Razors, brushes, and other stuff are kept in other locations. It is a mess, but it is my mess, and SWMBO is very understanding (most of the time). I am not showing my razor collection because of too many unmentionables. Don't look too closely at the cabinet Fuzzy. You may see something you don't want to. Just sayin'.

I like all the lids for your mugs...its a struggle. I'm always looking for an aftermarket solution to seal up my mugs. Hopefully my censorship on my pics was enough to satiate Fuzzy...my pics are still up so apparently I did an okay job 😉

I'm on mobile and can't see the resolution very well. I will check when I get in the wifi. Be ready, bricks could be coming inbound.

I put nothing on display, seems kinda tacky. No shaving items visible.
And no, that's not a wife thing, she actually thinks I should display some, even in the living room!

I put nothing on display, seems kinda tacky. No shaving items visible. And no, that's not a wife thing, she actually thinks I should display some, even in the living room! To each their own. I display most of my collection for several reasons. 1) It's appealing to the eye. Old razors are unique, but not just the razors...the brushes and scuttles and blades. I find all of it very interesting. I suppose if I didn't this would all still be a chore instead of a hobby. 2) Convenience. I immediately know where an essential piece of kit is, mostly because I can see most of it. For my money there's almost nothing more frustrating then needing something and not being able to find it. A problem that occurs more frequently as I get older...this solves the problem. 3) I can't shave with all of my shave items every day, but I do want to enjoy it every day. It might be a little weird to some people (my wife) but sometimes I'll just go into the shave cave, pull open a drawer and consider a razor. I'll look at its elegant lines, inspect the knurling and just enjoy it. Some nights I'll go in and put together the next days shave...a process which has taken a period of time which to my wife argues is, "ridiculous". For me it's just part of how I engage with a hobby. 4) It is a hobby, but a functional one. A display adds fashion to the functionality... Fashion certainly isn't for everyone. Some people will never really understand how other people could care so much about how something looks when what's really important is its performance. I get that, but I like for things to be functional and fashionable when it makes sense. To me my display allows me ease of access which is extremely functional and it looks nice too, so fashionable.
