Hi all,
I got some GEM Carbon blades from tryablade but have no idea where to find them in bulk. I've emailed tryablade with no replies so thought I'd ask here.
I'm in the UK and would, ideally, like to find a UK seller but dont know what part number I need to look for.
TIA

You need to import from the US which makes them expensive.

Amazon, ebay, grab ten TREET blades every time you go to the store.

I'd love to be wrong myself. www.windowcleancentre.co.uk/cleaning-products/Replacement-Blades/Scraper-Blades---Ultra-Sharp-4cm/377/58I know it's a window cleaning website but the blades are carbon steel, .009" thick, and 3 faceted...if I've misunderstood what we need in our razors then I may just have to give up and try making the PTFE blades work for me...otherwise I'm tempted to give these a bash (if I've got the specs right)

I agree the text certainly reads like what we use for shaving.
Edit: The problem with buying so many is that they will rust probably before you can get very far into the pack. You won't see the rust but it will affect the edge. You might want to put them in a hermetically sealed container and put a few moth balls in with them (paradichlorobenzene I believe the chemical is called). The moth balls evaporate and coat metal with a rust resistant invisible coating.

They do look right. I bet you could get a few people in on a bulk buy if they work good.

Manufacturers and distributors don't do that, just don't keep them in the bathroom and keep them in the original package and you're golden. Unless you buy the ones that are labeled "degreased" which are for cutting tissue samples, the blades are lightly oiled from the manufacturer and will not rust under normal storage conditions. All the stainless in use these says have people believing that steel is on the verge of bursting into a rusty pile if you blink. It won't.

I would keep them in a sealed box (away from my kids!) but not hermetically sealed. I'd have to buy that in. At the price these are selling for I may buy 1 pack and see how they fare. If it's Ouch City I'll hold my hands up and let you all know 😃

I used one this morning, very comfortable close shave too in a 1912, and I'm not the biggest fan of carbon steel. You'll be fine., they won't rip your face off unless you're good at that sort of thing.
