With Christmas and winter upon us I though that I would post a video of a song that my parents loved and I got to love as well. Most of us know it as the theme song from the original Die Hard movie with Bruce Willis.
The song "Let It Snow" was written by Jule Styne in 1945 and recorded by Vaughn Monroe and His Orchestra the same year. Hope you all enjoy it.

That was such a good call for them to use this for the Die Hard film...It really help make it a classic I believe..... And thanks for helping to spruce up the Christmas Vibe Bryce.....

Lately, I've been rediscovering the sounds of my youth. Post-punk.
Bauhaus were always a big favourite (hence the avatar) and I've been really enjoying my collection of their vinyl recently. They did release new material a few years ago, 2008 I think, which was good, but definitely sounded like they'd parted ways a couple of decades previous.
Following a revival of interest in this genre, I'm been enjoying local band Southern Death Cult, who ultimately became The Cult; Ian Astbury, their singer, joined The Doors for their reunion a few years back - he has quite a haunting voice and is very much the lost son of Jim Morrison.
Plugging holes in my Killing Joke collection, that's a great body of work. Public Image Limited, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Crime & The City Solution are getting a lot of play in my car.

I'm listening to me...lol! My wife put some slides of Istanbul on here with my music...she took some of the pics from our front yard a while back, actually....If you check it out, I hope you enjoy... Finally this album is available on itunes internationally. itunes.apple.com/album/from-the-moon/id652260728 My label sure took long enough...and I'll never see any royalties...It's a big-time label in Turkey but in the music industry tradition, crooked as a snake...lol...But some of my friends have been asking how to get my CD's...well this one is on itunes... See ya 'round...
