For what I paid, I cannot complain one bit. Given how rare these pop up for sale, I am downright happy just to have one regardless. One pic shows the PATD date, on the other side, I can barely make out what appears to be a serial number, couldnt get a decent shot of it. I think it is 4 digits, the first digit is clearly a 1, the rest I cannot make out yet. Some polishing with metal polish, once I buy some (reccomendations welcome) will hopefully reveal more info. Anywho... i cant wait to shave with it, handloading blades of course. I really cant figure out how the "magazine" loads and functions. I can take pics of the internals if anyone cares to see it. to clarify, once the head is folded, by operating the slide which is inside the handle and accessed by removing the rear cap, a blade will come out of a small slit you can see in one of the pics, this slit lines up with the blade location in the head. What I cant understand, without first getting a "blade magazine" is how to operated the blade loading function. Obviously until I get one, I will be hand loading chinese schicks in the head manually. Damn right I am going to shave with this pristine work of art from 1926 ! Some information on serial numbers would be out of this world, if anyone knows anything.

Thanks for the link, I'm very familar with that site . Doesn't provide info on serial numbers or markings. We know its the first injector made, but that's about it. Glad modern blades will work , with manually hand loading them.

That's a cool razor for sure. I can't recall ever reading anything about serial numbers on the Schicks, I would really be interested if anyone turns up any info.

Make sure to post up after cleaning! Very glad you found one, they sure are cool, and for me its just plain awesome to have the one that started injectors out in the first place. Of course without the magazine blade clips, we are stuck manually loading the blade into the head, I cant complain!

I have ALWAYS been really fascinated with these old Schicks. And, I am a total SchickHead when it comes to trying to find one. If I some some sweet, elderly lady in an antique shop looking at one of these from a display shelf......she had better watch out!! : )
I am really looking forward to hearing how the shaving goes for you with this!

Super easy bossman, just pull a new blade out of your blade/key thingy., and slide it into the head. Like you can do with any other injector.

Ive got the old short wooden handle gem Jr Bar LC if thats what you are referring to. The Handle is so short and stubby its almost comical. But what a sweet scruff removal machine. Thought I had a pic of it on this pc, guess not.
