Modern blades should fit just fine, the only difference is that starting in the mid 50's with the Hydro-magic they started putting the cutouts in the blades. You can also just manually slide a blade into the razor.
That is a very nice looking razor!

Never even heard of one! Very cool. You'll have to let us know how she shaves. Nice find.

I wish I knew a fraction of what y'all know about razors...
Man,I didn't even know there were open comb injectors, got me wondering how the shave is
If I ever get one of those I'm going to call it an OCSI

I know I have said before I have only tried a few injectors - but I do have one of these Auto Repeaters and it does provide a really nice shave. Modern blades do very well in them.
The open comb is nice in the way the soap is distributed.
thnx for posting SledDog!

Uh oh....I put a modern blade in the magazine (on top of the old blades) and the slide to inject a new blade is now jammed. It is in the "out" position. I cant see a way of taking it apart, removed the 2 tiny screws but they do not seem to do anything. It is designed so that you cannot open the door with the blade magazine when the slide is out. Been messing with it for an hour and getting no where. I noticed that the modern blades are quite a bit thinner and they have the 2 slots cut in them.

Oh man, I don't know what to tell you. They work in my B1 and I borrowed one just like yours from a member at B&B and it loaded them as well.

I merely inserted mine into the head. I didn't try to load them into the magazine. I can't comment on that part of it - I figured it wasn't worth trying.
If you hand insert into the head though - works good!
I'm sorry I didn't mention how I loaded it. I read what I wrote above and it could definitely/easily be interpreted to mean that modern blades work very good in the mag as well. Ooops. I hope it wasn't too misleading that way. : /
Good luck.

Any update on this? I'm wondering if soaking it in mineral oil or maybe some soapy water might help lubricate the stuck blade and help free it up.

No updates...I have been really busy and havent had time to play with it. It isnt jammed solid, there is a little bit of movement and I can feel something inside hitting against something solid. Im guessing that the modern blade being thinner is hitting up against the end of the razor and is just below the slot for the blade to come out...if that makes sense

I understand what it sounds like, that's why I'm wondering if some lubrication might help.

Just curious to see how you fared in getting it unjammed. I have the toothed bar version of the C type and I love the way it shaves. I am afraid it is the only injector type razor I have used so I have no idea how it compares to other injectors.
I have been searching for the open comb version without success. But I don't give up easy.
