I now have two and I've noticed a difference in the design of the heads, one has 2 "rivet dimples" on the hinged part of the head and the other doesn't. I'll have to take some pictures.. Please do!

Apologies gents, it has taken me a while to get round to taking photo's hopefully they illustrate what I mean. This image shows the first difference in the design between the two razors, the "dimples" that hold the spring in place that holds the top of the head down. The one on the right is the same as Broadsword's razor and is in effect the same design seen on the 1924. Hope that all makes sense.

Very Cool...RocketMan's is like the one on the right also....The 1924 lost the rivets that rivet the blade retention spring to the back of the top...But its still connected and looks very similar...Does it shave similar?.... It blows my mind that this was patented in 1909, the same year August Scheuber applied for the 1912's patent...This design is so original...I see similarities between the 1912 and August's earlier Lather Catchers...I mean it looks like a work by August, it has the same type lines and profile...And Joe Kaufman's 1914, the spring that makes the cover snap shut is similar to the 1912's...The blade retention spring and base plate are almost identicle to this 1909...and the lather catcher scoop is just that,a lather catcher scoop ....But this 1909 doesn't seem to borrow anything from anything...In 1909 it was flat original, as far as I can see...hmmm...another case for Ancient Astronauts maybe??....lol! JB deMesquita was a very creative man...and if this 1909 shaves as good as the 1924, I'll vote for him in the next election...I'm a huge fan of the 1924 anyway, but to think he built the 1924 in 1909...Well...he's too much...A highly underated cat! So I'm waiting to hear from you guys...Does it shave as good as the 1924? Is it basically the same razor? Is the 1924 really a 1909 with a different handle?
