Well, that's pretty cool! Shouldn't they be called Jacks, or Jicks?

The interesting thing about calling them Chics is that was the only English word used in the item description. I do like the Jacks tag. And Joe haven't received the E-1 yet but I'll probably use a 74 in it because it's the one I use as a baseline blade to see how the shave is.

Well, that's pretty cool! Shouldn't they be called Jacks, or Jicks? Since they come from Nippon, why not call them "Nicks?"

Nicks that's cool too! So after 4 shaves with a Nick,Jack, Jick (sounds like a children;s game) I'm still liking it. We'll see as I approach my standard , which is at least 10 shaves.

Well, Alan, my Nicks (Jacks, Jicks) arrived today, and I decided to give them a try. I made a big mistake, though--I put one into my new L5 Paul Revere, which I have been wanting to try. After my normal two-pass plus touchups shave, I could still feel stubble, and while the shave was smooth and comfortable, I just couldn't get it very close. Consequently, even though I made at least two more attempts to touch-up, I decided to settle for a DFS.
I don't blame the blades. In another razor, they might well be excellent--I'll try them in a G or E once I'm through with the blades that are already in those razors. The Paul Revere, while undoubtedly pretty, is after all an L. I remember using Ls from many years ago, and that I didn't care for them because they were too mild. The handle on the Revere is too long for easy maneuvering, especially on the lower part of my neck, and J-hooking is out of the question. I guess the Paul Revere is destined to be a hangar queen at my house.

Hi Steve,
Well at least The Revere is pretty to look at. The Nicks and Chicks I have ,have the same numbers(1203) on them. Nicks feel smoother. I've used them in the same E-2. Hmmmm Yeah the higher number models have no attraction to me or I'd still be using a Tech. Have a great weekend!

I had the same experience with an L and so I got rid of it soon after. Nice looking razor, though.

And now with the Schick Proline B20's, I guess those would be "Pricks"?

And now with the Schick Proline B20's, I guess those would be "Pricks"? You gotta be careful with the B20s. They are more rounded on the corners and make it a bit harder to get it seated well on the blade stops. So, "Pricks" would work for me.
