Good lad! The only injector I kept ... actually, the only injector I could get a tune out of. I bet you hate it!

Hey now CB, I think you stole my Gillette injector! Did my magic work on you ? Well, whatever made you decide to get the Gillette it was a good move. Try using it with the original twin injector blades. I'd like to read your review on the Gillette.

fram773 - Yes, the Trac-II designation might fool you into thinking it's a cartridge razor, but they also released an injector head under the same name. Gillette went one better and popped two blades into the injector - or, Twinjector. The Twinjector blades are two injector blades, slightly thinner each, stacked together with a slight bias. They inject together. The head can take regular single injector blades, too, which Gillette also released. I find their Platinum Plus to be a very smooth shave in an injector. Now, the Twinjector blades are very efficient. I would not say aggressive, certainly not rough, but VERY efficient. You have to be very light with your touch and very even with your touch - one slight change in pressure and it'll nick. Right to left: Gillette Twinjector, Gillette Trac-II Demonstrator, Gillette Trac-II & Shick-II So, just in case you thought "poor old Schick having their market encroached and eclipsed" there they are jumping on the cartridge market.

Very nice! I enjoy using mine, and have some of the Personna twin blade injectors which I find to be very, very good.

I'm coming to this one a little slowly here. So.... You inject two blades in yes? Just a specific Gillette injector cartridge? Can you use a Schick cartridge?
What is that like to shave with?

You can use single Schick blades in it ... you can use single Gillette blades in it ... or, you can use Gillette's special "twin" blades in it.
The twin blades are two thinner blades tacked together on a slight bias. The overall thickness is about the same as a single injector blade.
How's that?
As for the shave, I'm the least useful person to ask having had nothing but disappointment from Schick injectors and have sold the lot on ... all except for the Gillette. That, I get on with ... well!

Likewise, I've looked, looked again, found a magnifying glass and looked yet again, but no date code.
Gillette were renowned for date coding everything and it never crossed my mind to check this one for a date code, but I can't find it. I can't find on on any of my Tracs, either.
