Wow....this is their "mug" soap and it lathers almost like Arko....I hit it with a wet brush and theres lather everywhere....ha,ha.... One thing though.....there is a scan code on the box so it is not like an antique cake of Colgate.....maybe yours Brian was an older 'cake'.... Glad it is working good. That cake is around 10 years old.

Going to bring this one back up. Anyone used any colgate lately? Still a favorite of mine.

I'm going to be right on it....I plan to lather up with that cake you sent...The razor and the blades have been a smashing success! I put one of those PAL Supers in my ER1909 yesterday...absolutely amazing! One pass BBS! I'll be doing a report somewhere...

I want to see how many shaves you get. Highly underated blades. Also looking forward to how that soap works. I can not remember what I sent you before. Or rather where it came from. I think this is a newer cake though.

Hoosier Trooper sent me some back in 2013 right before I checked into Isolation City. I think I used it up back in 2014. It is good stuff! Looking back many, many, moons ago it was sold everywhere and was an economy soap.

I went out today to find some PIF razors that I can give to the guys at work to share the joys of wet shaving. I ran across an old puck of Colgate Cup Soap and thought of Fuzzy. After reading this thread I have decided I owe it to my self to give it a try. Yes the puck is yellow. I believe at at one time it was white.

Never used that just the mug and barbershop. I think they are all the same. I can not see the picture actually. But yes you must give it a go.

The Cup soap did not workout for GarnerPW. Because he is one of the good guys he sent it my way. I loved it. I will gey a few pics soon. I posted a SOTD and video of the shave. I think it compares nicely to the Mug soap and Barbershop soap. No problems with the lather or the shave!! Thanks again my friend!!!

Last week I was given a very nice coffee mug from the casino my wife works at...It's perfect for shaving...a large round top and the bottom diameter of the cup is the exact size of my last cake of Colgate you sent me. The depth is perfect for that Vie-Long horse hair brush. Deep enough so my fingers stay dry, but not too long for that tall brush.
So I put it to good use with that bar of Colgate Mug Soap. As I have found in the past...Colgate is a solid performer producing volumes of thick lather....I LOVE IT!!
Williams....Colgate......and Arko.....The triumvirate of Grand Lather....I feel so lucky that my favorite sources of lather are so economical...each one worth ten times as much! But shoosh, don't let the marketing powers at be know that....lol!

It was dated 1944. I have several of these. Can not say if they are that old but anyway it goes it's classic.
