I remember RazorX had an I2 with the chrome finish....and he said it shaved a tad better than his Gold I2's.....How do these two beauties compare when whisker deep in lather?

I remember RazorX had an I2 with the chrome finish....and he said it shaved a tad better than his Gold I2's.....How do these two beauties compare when whisker deep in lather? I have to mention that the Schick 500 feels lighter. I weighed both injectors and my scale shows the Golden 500 weighs 33 grams. My scale weighs the Schick 500 at 32 grams. The Schick 500 (to me) shave just a tad more mild then the Golden 500, the difference is barely noticeable IMO.

Having decided to give injectors a try,I acquired a job lot of Razors, which included 2 x L1 & a J3 Golden 500.In the past two weeks I have used both.
Today I used the 500, fitted with a Personna S/S Blade [ on 8 ]. I am rather amazed at the quality of shave I am still getting . The razor with its long handle , is so easy to move around the face, and is particlarly good when going ATG. Though described as a mild razor, this for me with a heavy beard growth seems to work well , as I am able to deliver final buffing passes without any discomfort.
I have yet to try a G type, and have Chicks on order in addition to some Twin blade from Japan. I am pleased to have had a go at injectors, and most certainly list the J3 up there in my top 5 razors .

Sun 10th July
Another outing today with a Golden 500, after a few days with latter day Schicks fitted with Twin Blades. I had said previously that the extra length handle allowed it to be wielded easily around all areas , and today achieved one of most quick smooth shaves ever. I was using a "Chick" [ on 6], and have to say in my short experience, that of the modern Schicks that I have used, this is the best when used with a single blade.
