So what are your thoughts on this one? Love it? Hate it? What?
I love it!
It makes me want to grab my sabre and charge!!!
I don't get any of the cat pee, urinal cake or Play Doh smells, but do get floral, powdery and some closer to the ground pungency. Lovely.
I tend to shave in the evening and enjoy an EDT the day after. Usually, I can just smell my aftershave in the morning after sleep but it's gone after a wash. This is still there after a wash and just wants a pick me up ...
Trumper's Eucris is that pick me up.
Cassis, complex florals, powder and must. Must, not musk. What a follow-up!
When I got my bottle of The Veg, based on my experience with Clubman Original and Special Reserve, I held it at arms length and immediately decanted it without even sniffing it.
After letting it mellow in the glass for a week or so I liberally splashed it on after a shave.
I like it - a lot. More importantly, my wife likes it. I Am Chosen.
Bob, what is the effect of decanting the Veg. in a glass bottle? Do you notice a significant change/improvement in the fragrance?
in other words.....do I need to run and find a glass bottle to decant my Veg?
Well, you don't need to run . . .
I find that The Veg has a sharpness in the initial top note that is sort of synthetic and plastic-y. I think that this is what the anti-Veg crowd likens to cat urine (I have a cat - it does NOT smell like cat pee). Being a top note it dissipates very quickly, but storing The Veg in a glass container seems to eliminate it entirely.
I find the The Veg, Clubman Original and Special Reserve all benefit noticeably from decanting. With Lime Sec and Citrus Musk it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
Decanting? Darn you! Now I have a whole new issue to think about. Will it ever end??? : )
The bottle I have is open to air and not sealed. The veg certainly tones down. I am not sure if it has a negative impact over time as I can't really tell that. I'm going to have to start doing some serious sniffing and decanting over here.
Decanting colognes. Huh. The idea never even occurred to me.
9nein9: To like or not to like the like button? That is the question. Our society thrives off the like button it seems . I'm not sure if I like it or I don't like it.Just kind of got used to it .

carlfrommo: Hey guys. Last minute question here. What shot size should I use for flying reindeer?
Dec 24, 2019 22:11:29 GMT -6
ordinaryshaver: You want to use 3 1/2 in magnum lead shot, in size T. Problem solved.

ordinaryshaver: No steel, too light and use an extra full choke, unless you have a good blind setup

carlfrommo: Well, last night was a failure. I had one shot, and I didn't lead the red-nosed one enough. I think I ended up shooting the driver. Might have gotten him in the leg. Hard to tell because he was wearing red pants and coat.

carlfrommo: He turned his sled away and landed on the roof two blocks down. Out of range for a second shot. I did notice he walked with a bit of a limp though. He shouldn't be coming in my yard anyway.

mrconklin: Last time I hunted waterfowl. 2 3/4 shells were standard and the cool kids were starting to play with the 3 inch, but most guns weren't made for them. Steel was also just starting to be mandated on Federal and State land.
