Following on from something NorfolkDick wrote the other day about how each new model was often simply referred to as "the new GEM" or "the new Ever Ready", I spotted something on an early GEM Micromatic that I have ... Presumably one of the first and labelled "New GEM" on the top of the box, this Micromatic is without the nubs on the baseplate. Show us your flat plate Micromatics and their cases.

The newer is about 1933 with nubs. The earlier is without nubs. They both have the older instructions. The Gem Instruction posted else where are newer and clearer on a few point. I hope this helps.

Lovely sets! Thanks for the pictures.
The presence of the NRA logo on the right hand box helps us date that one to 1933-1935. Do folks think the inception of the NRA in 1933 was the catalyst for a new set of razors from GEM, or just coincidence?

Thank you!
The patients predate NRA.
Anyone know when they changed the instruction sheet from the version with my sets to the one scanned with more color?
