Good question Mike! For me the ER 1924 is the pinnacle of classic vintage shaving - all other considerations aside, it's simply the best shaving safety razor. The Mongoose is a big powerful work of art and modern engineering that will change the way you shave. If they were films, the ER 1924 would be the Maltese Falcon and the Mongoose would be Pulp Fiction - both utterly excellent but of completely different styles. Hi Marcus, Not really the answer I wanted to hear. As you know I like the 1924, and thanks to you may have to consider something from the Mongoose family. But will bide my time. Injector Blades ordered yesterday , here today . Have watched videos on loading , so may be an injector shave on the horizon. Mike Which injector razor or razors did you order those blades for....I'm a huge fan of the ER 1924 and 1914s, but I'm also a huge fan of injectors.....Right now I can't seem to shave with anything else...}8^))

Both great shavers....funny....they are mild, but injectors are not like other razors and the mild ones can still deliever....I know what you mean...they are so light and intuitive that they can lull you into a false sense of security, and racing around your face with reckless abandom, aswell as feats of shaving heroism....But back off and be cool and these razors are incredible....
If you want an injector that is more like the ER 1924 I would recommend an early Schick E2 that opens (mine is more agressive than my OCMM) or a PAL Injecto-matic...this one really reminds me of my ER 1924. Aggressive, smooth and glides around without much feedback through the handle, but the results are superb......I'm also getting some really great shaves from my Schick C3 Simplified Automatic Repeater....

Shaved with this again, really went slow using short strokes. I feel a little discomfort on my neck but it's not like before.
This is certainly an aggressive razor, more than the OMCC. I really like the OMCC for sure.
This 1924 will be used on the weekends as a change of pace when I can take my time as I need to go slow with it, it really does gives a great shave.
As I have moved into the SE world, they give me much better shaves than the DE's I have tried. I am going to thin the herd of most of my DE's for sure.

The ER 1924 shaves best with a steeper angle closer to that of a DE if that's any help. Very true....and this very aspect of the '24 I think makes it easier to grab a great shave once you are familier with it. It really makes getting under your nose and manuvering around tight spaces a breeze...I think the ER 1924 along with the ER 1914, are in a class by themselves....I love the OCMM....for different reasons...but the '24 and '14's I think are just about perfect in every way....
