This 26mm knot Plissoft fibre Razorock Monster arrived today: Man that's a big, good looking, lather wizard indeed! Same fibres as the Plisson Synthetic "Brush Of The Gods" but a bit more backbone. Same knot as the Stirling Kong, but a nicer handle and £17 delivered to UK. Anybody else experienced this phenomenal awesomeness? Weirdly, a used Kong sold on eBay UK for more than the price of a new one but these next generation synthetic brushes are driving us all crazy!!

Is this a limited edition 6th generation prototype that will sell 4x the price used?

That looks big!
I still haven't tried a modern synthetic. If I break down and buy one, what would be a good choice? I prefer around a 26mm size typically, but don't at all mind a bigger brush. I don't like to pay for trendy so it doesn't matter to me what/who is stamped on the handle.

If you like 'em big, the Stirling is a good choice, and if you like 'em really big, the 30mm from Whipped Dog is a good choice. Both are quite reasonably priced. They also both have smaller brushes. Maggard Razors also has 24mm synthetics that are dirt cheap.
My other, more pricey synthetics (Plisson, Edwin Jagger, Grooming Co.) have nicer handles but to be honest the knots aren't really any better.

The Stirling when dampened can whip a lather on top of a puck , even MWF. They do a smaller one too. Mike

Yes - the 26mm Stirling and this 26mm Razorock are the same knot of incredibly efficient Plisson style synthetic fibres. As far as I'm aware this is simply the best synthetic knot available and it is truly fantastic.
The original Plisson "Brush Of The Gods" was critiscised by some for being a bit floppy (although amazingly soft and an incredible lather generator).
These 26mm knots don't have that problem.
For my money the Razorock Monster has a nicer handle than the Stirling, and in UK the Razorock is about £10 cheaper. I don't know how the prices compare in the US.
But basically anything with these Plisson-style fibres is a winner.
This is one area of wetshaving which has advanced dramatically in the past few years, so if you haven't tried one of the latest generation synthetics yet, prepare to be amazed!

Nice looking brush. Would look better with a nice 1912 or OCMM beside it instead of an unmentionable. Just saying
