Yet another beautiful lather catcher RM! Thnx!! This one is actually much prettier in person! I was quite lucky to find this particular one in absolutely pristine condition. It is a nice shaver too.

Never heard of that fancy German Rasiermesser, Herr Raketenmann, and it is sehr schön!

Wednesday morning:
Hot towel face prep (towel test) Provence Sante Simpson Special pure badger EverReady '06 LC GEM SS ptfe (15 and canned) KF bay rum
Great shave! I haven't used the PS soap for quite some time and it was very nice for a change from almond and almond/cherry.
The towel test was with a heavy terry cloth towel. It was far too heavy for the way I face prep, but 1/2 of the towel might be fine. I need to talk to our wizardess of the the sewing machine to see what can be done.
I probably could have gotten a few more shaves from the blade, but why push it?

Hmmm, sounds like a great shave 'Possum. Curious though: if you could get a good shave from a sharpened piece of rock while using the FAT, why not from an OCMM?
Smile, ducking and running!

Wednesday morning:
Hot towel face prep Trumpers Sandalwood cream handcrafted badger brush Kampfe 1913 Cru-Steel Lather Catcher Gem SS ptfe (3) KF Bay Rum
When I first got this razor it and I definitely didn't get along well at all. Other than my trying to not use it very often because it needs some restoration (it's steel and is rusting under the plating), it's turning out to be a very fine razor.
I've had these Trumper samples for over 6 months now. I think it's time to use them up and get them out of my cabinet. Heck, yesterday I had to add a few drops of water to each one to turn them from a soft soap and back into a cream.

- Prep: Hot shower and hot towel
- Brush: ER 89 Boar
- Soap: TSD English Fern
- Razor: '07 Elite GEM Jr Lathercatcher
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated GEM SE (shave 8)
- A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & AOS Lavender ASB
- Result: Hey, that old blade did a great job with the TSD soap to give me a DFS today. A little buffing and I could have had a BBS but just did not feel I needed that today.

Thursday morning:
Hot towel face prep Trumpers almond cream EverReady 1906 Lather Catcher GEM ss ptfe (4) KF bay rum
Yet another fantastic BBS. A great way to start this snowy and grey morning.
My goal is to finish out the month with LCs, because I have more blade testing with other razors coming up, and I've grown to really hate testing blades. At least the first few razors I use them in. (DE so don't ask)

Possum, are you going to see how long that blade can go? Yes. And I am going to do the same for my injector blades as well.
