Our buddy Gary has retired from doing Brush work a short while back...Some of you know how extraordinary some of his pieces are... He had restored a matched pair (color) of Stag Brushes from the late 40's early 50's. Stag was the house brand for Rexall Drugs, and these perticular specimens appear to have been manufactured by ASR for Rexall.... He wanted me to have them, and sent them last week.....I'm speechless... I took both out for a spin upon receiving them....These are the nicest brushes I have ever owned....Thanks Gary.....You are a gentleman and a scholar.... Attachments:

Speechless? I would be too ...
They're absolutely perfect! He did a great job. I particularly like the square based one - very "period".

Lloyd, thanks for the complement on the brushes. I know you will enjoy them. As Lloyd has stated I have been "retired" from the brush making and from the forums due to work load issues and my health. My carpal tunnel issues in both hands were repaired, but my ankle has has major issues in which I have had surgery and I am recovering from. Thanks to all for all the good thoughts and well wishes.

What a generous gesture. And such wonderful brushes!
It sounds like you are in the upswing on this Gary. And you have your typing skills back in full swing! It is great to see you around the Boards.
