mrconklin Different finishing V2 razors had different shaves? Maybe It's not just cosmetics ... BTW, I like the post. I just hate to see full quote for just a like!!! I think the mirror polish shaves better because it's slippery-er on my skin. As I said, I find the handle hard to grip and in today's SOTD used some Alum on my fingers to improve the grip. I never had any grip issues with the polished version and a number of times felt it tugging and pulling on my face skin.

I just got this black V2 from my son as a birthday present. So far I have two shaves with it. The first was with the two dot plate and the second with the three dot plate. I feel I will not use the two dot plate again and never use the one dot plate. It delivers a very nice shave, but to me the razor is heavier than I would prefer. I have a V1 that is even heavier. It is in the BST section now. If no one buys it, I am thinking of giving it to my son. Here is today's shave with the three dot plate.

It is too heavy in my opinion also. 3 dot is what I use also. I will need to use it again.

jayaruh can you compare the three dot Supply Provision to a Schick vintage razor? I've never tryed this one, but It's a nice design. Very nice the dark edition.

It is not too aggressive. I imagine that if you were careless, you could get into trouble, but as someone else said, I like the blade feel. It is similar to my dad's E3.

It is similar to my dad's E3. Perfect. Schick E3 is the only one injector that last in my den now. I love how the butterscoth color shines in the sun!!

So with all this talk of the Supply. I decided to bust my V1 out. There was 4 days to deal with. using the 3 dot. I went to work. Again the first thing you notice is the weight. To me it is VERY heavy and a bit unwieldy. So after choking up as much as possible I proceeded to shave. My first pass is always N to S. Choking up works fine. The reduction was very good. My second pass is S to N. Choking up really is not an option on my grip for this stroke as I like to hold it back on the handle and let the head follow my contour. Being so heavy, I did not get the light blade feel I like. Nonetheless the second pass went quite well. My third pass is all over the place as my whiskers grow all willynilly on my neck and jaw. So maneuvering it, I had to take a bit of care. Overall I ended up with a DFS and no complaints on finish. It is just too heavy for regular shaving. I wish it came in half the weight. It would be a ROCKIN RAZOR. All in all I will be using it as it delivers the goods. Just too heavy for my likings for an Injector. Tom

I probably won't though. It is pretty heavy.

I should bring it to work and remove som weight You could take out the middle of the handle like a OneBlade. That would probably work well.

I thought of drilling some holes in it to make it lighter.
But later I realized that this is the only heavy injector (not only in my possession but that I'm aware of). So if I made it lighter it would be just another light injector. I have plenty of those already. So I decided to keep it in it's current "different" state.
