I finished off my 1st tin of Peterson's founders choice yesterday and have plenty more in the cupboard. I do like it. On with a bowl of Kendal American Plum & Rum sitting in the sunny Garden.

Met an old friend yesterday. He is the only friend with whom I ever get to enjoy a smoke. Thankfully I had a small quantity of an aromatic tobacco for him. He also tried the Five Brothers. It was a great day. Cherry?

Man O' War Ruination which was part of a sampler. I did enjoy it, but the draw was poor, which is another reason I prefer the less expensive cigars. Gotta love a good sampler.

Not this time. It was a store-branded blend, most likely from Lane. It smelled like chocolate and perhaps vanilla. Not quite my thing, so the rest went home with my friend.

I generally like the smell of cherry. I do not like the taste though. For some reason aromatics just do not flip a switch for me.

Enjoyed some Tsuge Fujin today. Great blend. Do you prefer a straight pipe over bent?

Enjoyed some Tsuge Fujin today. Great blend. Do you prefer a straight pipe over bent? I don't know if I have a strong preference. If I had to pick, probably straight stem. My fondness for pipes goes back to my childhood when I would explore my great grandfather's pipe stand. His 3 pipes were all straights.
