Road trip pipe from yesterday. It is a yella bole Spartan with some C&D star of the east. Traffic was jerky on the basin bridge. That is not good with a bridge that is 18ish miles long. The pipe made it all easy going.

Can make all the difference in the World.... You got that right. Went back across Sunday to visit with me Dad and pick up a couple of rifles he had been using. I went with a favorite meerschaum with the Latakia for this one. I forgot to memtion this is a CAO brand Meer.

Another Meerschaum and Latakia on the way to work. This may be my favorite of the Meers that I own.

Over the lastfew days I smoked a #99 factory throw out each night. Cheap as dirt but for a cigar to smoke while I walk my 3-4 miles it works great! Today on the way to work I had a Meer with C&D Bayou Morning. A very nice Perique blend.

I'm still planning on copping you a Turkish Carved Meersham one day...Things are pretty uncomfortable over there right now....But I definitely want to go back for a visit in the not too distant future.... Right now The US and Turkey are not giving any travel visas to citizens of either country....whew! This polital game is getting old....They have to straighten this one out pretty quickly....it's just posturing on both sides...

They will work it out over the day.

They are just a plain jane smoke. I don't know that I can tell how heavy nicotine they are. They are not a real strong smoke. I think the taste is good. People around say they stink. But that is normal. I get a big churchill for like 3 bucks. Maybe 2.75. It will last through a 4 mile walk. I think for a every day smoke not bad. I also like the Casa Da Garcia maduros. A execellent budget cigar.

Another Meer. This one a calabash style shape. The Latakia blend was great for the trip to work.

Well.. I fell again for the pipe tobacco allure. I smoked almost exclusively Clan Original 20 years ago and I remember liking it a lot, but never ventured on other flavours. I bought yesterday a Gasparini pipe for cheap and went to a tobacco store and bought a pack of Borkum Riff Copper that I loved the scent on the store, a bit chocolaty. In theory from what I read of the notes I think I will tend to like the Cavendish based tobaccos and more mild than strong. What tobacco blends would you recommend to a born again pipe aficionado? And as a bonus a pic of my pipe. I think it's a beauty, let's wait to see if it's any good

I will see what others recommend in a Cavendish blend.
