Raise your glasses to His Everreadyness latest catch! Stunning to say the least! Apart from the wonderful sun-ray decoration, is there any difference in the plating between the standard ER 1912 and this Chromium Plated version?

This is indeed chrome plated, but then a good number were since the '30s ... I have one of the NRA (National Recovery Act) 1912s from the US (the NRA pins it to 1933) which is boxed and stated as being "Chromium Plated".
Aside from that and the decoration ... no, it's "just" a 1912.

Not sure where to start saying good things about how beautiful that set is. Just a 1912 my behind!! That is like saying the Mona Lisa is JUST a painting. Awesome catch. Thanks for sharing!

I have seen the sunburst style 12 before but was not aware where/how they fit in. This is terrific info. Another beautiful set my friend. I wish you lived in my neighbourhood - I would be pestering you endlessly to drop over and love up your collection.
