It's always fun to discover a "new" razor that one already had but forgot about. It's almost like getting something for free.
Let us know how it shaves.
BTW, I love lather catchers, who doesn't? My buddy, that's who. He used to make fun of them until I loaned him my Kampfe '13. As he tells it, after the shave he realized that he had some major crow to eat. But to his credit he did, and I was also able to find one for him.

That's nice! Hope you enjoy using. I've never had the opportunity to use a lather catcher. Think I'll have to look into one of those.

Can't wait for the "Stroke by Stroke" commentary.... That is easy. My normal 3 pass shave and the magic flows. I am not sure how your 1909 is but with this one you feel like there is no blade almost. The smoothness just appears. It is also not as loud as the 1910. Could be something to do with the longer handle. No issues finding the angle either. I can not say it is on auto pilot,but it's pretty close.
