Very interesting set. I have a deluxe set that is english. As far as I know it has never been used. That one has a black handle. The everyday one I have has the white handle. Love the shave.
Edit. I just noticed there is a pic of mine up there.

Just went for the second shave with the Injectomatic this morning. That Premium Edge blade hadn't smoothed, nor had it deteriorated, so we'll see how long it goes for. The temperature of my injector fever had cooled slightly since I got no takers when I offered to trade my British Gillette NEW for an injector on another forum, then was outbid on an I2 HM at the last minute on the bay. However, I know that's what for you won't go by you, so I wasn't too discouraged.
And then this Injectomatic shave has sent the fever soaring again! I'm still finding it hard to believe what a comfortable and long lasting shave this delivers The carbon steel blade is deceptive too, it definitily has a massaging effect causing the stubble to stand out and making the shave seem initially much less close than it actually is. 20 minutes on, once the skin has settled down, it's like the stubble has retracted, leaving a beautifully smooth and close shave. Most excellent!

Just as an update: third shave with the Injectomatic and the Premium Edge blade has really smoothed without losing any of its sharpness to give the most comfortable shave yet!

I passed on a Pal adjustable in an antique store a couple of months ago. I am still kicking myself for not picking one up.

I like my Adjustable I got from Alan ( I think). I would still not rate the injectors above a good 1912 but they are good razors.

Yeah! Returned to the Injectomatic this morning with a Personna Stainless. My previous 6-shave run had been with a NOS carbon steel and this had given very long lasting and very comfortable results. With the stainless blade, the Injectomatic reached a new level of efficiency and aggression, somewhere between the Schick E and J (I've not tried a G yet). Like the bakelite DEs I've been using recently, this razor feels so good in the hand, like a wand and it's made me realize that all the good injectors (ie everything but Star Trek) are super light and responsive, and that this is actually a really important factor in how they handle. PAL Injectomatic - long lasting, very comfortable, superb

You know,I wanted to buy one of these when I was a young man, and my father who was a staunch Schick advocate, asked me to wait til he wasn't with me...he didn't want to see me embarass myself...:-) Kind of took the wind out of my sails a little about getting one...lol!!

Ha,ha,ha,ha..Yep, actually he did... But he was also very hip and tongue-in-cheek most of the time....as he was when he said that... My Pop didn't talk alot but when he did he always SAID something...and most of the time he would crack you up while still making his point.....much like some of YOU cats...no need to mention names...you know who you are....ha,ha,ha,ha! I know he would have loved this place... No doubt about it, I would have hipped him to it and he would have dug it, and fit right in... Dad Story: The first razor I ever bought was a new mid-60's Super Speed. He asked to see my new treasure, and when he held it, he shook it a little and it rattled like they do...My Pop smiled and glanced at me as he handed it back and said, "You're a braver man than I...I don't believe I would have the nerve to hop out of bed; early in the morning; and drop a new razor blade in something that rattled like a maraca and put it up against MY throat.." and then he kind of laughed as he went into his room.... Man...all of a sudden I didn't dig my new kit too much...When my Pop came back out of his room he held up the Gold Schick Hydro-magic that I had first seen him shave with when I was like 4...I hadn't seen it around for years..It was shining and looked like new...He then asked if I'd like to have a really great shaver? I jumped and have been a Schick-head ever since...

Awesome memory you have of your Dad, Lloyd. I don't remember the details, just that when I was 15 mine gave me what I'm 99% sure was a black handle I1. I know it wasn't an adjustable, but I used it up until around 1974 or 1975 when I got a Trac II while I was in the Air Force.

Greetings I have never seen one with a translucent handle before, my version has the ivory coloured opaque handle which I think I am right in saying was the commonest of the US made models, otherwise it is the same as yours with the same inscription on the underside of the box, my blade container has ASR printed on it and was full of blued carbon injector blades with a heavy coating of oil on each blade. Regards Dick.
