Speaking of things people like. My favorite thing to do is wake up before sunrise on Saturdays and head to my favorite breakfast joint. Getting that cup of coffee and eating some hash browns and eggs over easy all mixed up. To me that is the best.

Usually some of the best food around. In Lafayette they have Mel's diner. Awesome chow and good prices. I need to make the drive over there from Baton Rouge soon. I go to Waffle House a lot too. The nearest Denny's is New Orleans. Just a tad too far.

Good coffee, great breakfasts served 24 hours, killer shakes and burgers, and easy walking distance from my home - I love it! --Bob

I spent a Summer in Tucson when I was in High School....I was amazed at how alive the desert was...I never realized when I was growing up...every inch of the desert is alive...prarie dogs and road runners everywhere, beautiful cactus...and a 110 degrees in Tucson feels great compared to 80 degrees on the east coast...lol...Yeah, I enjoyed that summer in Tucson...

Man, back when I used to tour with top 40 bands in the '70's, we'd always hit Lafayette, Lake Charles, and Natchitoches....I'd hang at Al Capone's Backgammon parlor....I remember the Club Chicago in Natchitoches...We'd always hit those towns on our way to and from "Fat City" and New Orleans...Then we'd swing along the coast to FL... We need to swap war stories...lol!

I graduated high school outside of Lake Charles in Moss Bluff. Fun fact my sister still lives in Lake Charles. Seeing as how I turned 10 in 1979 no real war stories there LOL. I helped a friend move today. So sore can hardly move. Very long day as I got out of bed for work at 1500 on Thursday and got to bed at 2200ish Friday night. I am going to catch up around here and across the street.

Good coffee, great breakfasts served 24 hours, killer shakes and burgers, and easy walking distance from my home - I love it! --Bob That right there is my kind of place Tom. Believe it or not there is not a really good place like that in Baton Rouge. The local diner is a college joint that tries to make stuff more healthy. I spend a lot of mornings at Waffle House and sometimes a Cracker Barrel. You are very right bird. I loved the time I spent there and would move back. It is amazing the amount of wildlife out there. Add to your list the Quail and coyotes and owls and cougar. My boss use to see a cougar come through his back yard pretty often. By 10 at night Tucson is nice. Unlike Phoenix there was still enough sand around that the heat radiated out at night. Yup many many good memories from there.

I got home from a shooting clinic today and opened up the Citibank CC statement. There was a charge on it for $13k that neither of us made. So I called the company that shipped the items, and got names and addresses. Then called Citibank to tell them what happened. Then called OKC,OK PD to file a formal report and get an investigation started. The officer told me that with all of the info I fed them I should hear something back not later than Tuesday. And Grainger and Citibank fraud dept's are going to be working on it also. Citibank also found an additional $1.4k of additional charges that weren't ours. In the meantime we have to pay the $. Supposedly Citibank will straighten things out next month after their investigation concludes.
I want to nail this person to the wall and if I have to fly to OKC to do so I will.
The last time I wanted to spend $3k I had to call Citibank to get that authorized; basically to prove I was myself. I wonder how this expenditure was possible with that sort of security in place, and I did tell them to keep that in place for our protection.
I don't like that we have to pay the ~$15k. Something doesn't sound right there. But I'm going to ask around and make more calls to check on that. I was connected to someone in Bombay and I could barely understand what was being said between the accent, the high pitch of the electronics, and my old ears.

I have never had to deal with anything along those lines. Goodluck.

On Saturday I was told by an Indian accented voice that we had to pay the fraudulent charges. The short story is that she was BSing me. I called Citibank today and asked for a supervisor. I went from India back to Florida. I didn't see why we should be victimized twice. The Super' agreed and confirmed that we didn't need to pay the fraudulent charges. She couldn't answer my question about how it could have occurred. She could only tell me that there are lots of mean people out there.
I also put in place triggers, switches, whatever she called them, so that if any of them get tripped I'm sent an email.
So all the folks in Dogpatch are happy at this time.

I just had for lunch a can of Wye River Crab Soup. I bought one can of it at a odd lots or surplus store in their food section. It was $.50 a can and that threw up alarm bells especially with crab as the 3rd listed ingredient, but I bought one anyway. It was a very tasty vegetarian soup. There wasn't even one piece of crab in it. That's why the $.50 price. I just looked it up online and it's $6/can.

The ole squeaky wheel principal. I think they tell people things like that so that the sheep will follow along and just pay and pray. I am not a sheep I do not go BAHHHHHHHH. I call someone further up the herd like you did. Good job Ole Boy.

We had a round of bad weather yesterday. I slept through most of the rain in Baton Rouge. By paying attention to the weather alerts on the radio I timed my arrival at work so that I was behind a bad thunderstorm. There was some wind damage around the plant but nothing serious.
