Oh, you're a big help RocketMan! ENABLER!! Lol!!! I am a RE-ABLER! It sounds like you were half way there anyhoo!! You guys are giving me the itch too I must say. All this talk about these new fangled SE gadgets. Sheesh!!! Now I got the bug. I have been haunting the halls of online auctions lately looking for low priced Gems. I have yet to try any of the darn things other than the clogpruf and OCMM. However - I have just won 5 crusty old crappy looking GEMS!! WooOOHoo!! (More info to come!) You guys are indeed the ENABLERS!!!

I bought a lot of really good razors in lots of that sort. I only got burned once.

The HFT has worked its way into my regular rotation for a reason: Its a capable whisker whacker with a nice handle design. I know lots of other people hate the handle, but it accommodates my grip style perfectly. The handle is a deal breaker for some, I guess. Too bad there's no MMCP in your lot. Even if you have one, they do nothing but class up the joint.

I like my MM clog pruf more than any 1912, or for that matter, 1914 or 1924. I mainly use the LC or the MM CP only. I just had a couple of weeks with a 1912. Pros: blades seem to last longer than in a MM or LC. Cons: shaves nowhere near as close, even a DE could do better. Ay least I know with a MM, it's going to be the closest shave that is possible with my beard made from wire!

To make things a little livelier, we've decided to dedicate the first week of each month to a "themed" SOTD. This month spotlights the Micromatic family. Please share your MM experiences with us.
The first week of May will feature the "Slim-V" family: the Heavy Flat Top, the Feather Weight, the Push Button, and the Contour.
Sometime later this summer, we'll spotlight Schick injectors and Valet Auto Strop razors.

Well, it looks like my FW will receive some love. It's gotten very little lately.
