Monday morning:
Cella SIS Semogue 610 boar OCMM GEM SS ptfe (14) menthol AS
One fantastic shave!
OK, I've been badmouthing Cella ever since I got my kilo a week or so ago, and frankly it deserved it. But I figured I'll give it some time before passing final judgement on it. That was probably a good thing. After reading all of the posts where folks love the stuff I figured something just wasn't right. Like other scents that folks dispise upon first opening the package, my Cella acted the same way. I'm guessing I got a freshly made batch or something. After a week or so of sitting in the bowl it has toned down substantially. I still don't think it has as much tallow, fat, or whatever that the others have that's good for the skin, but at least I no longer hate it. It's quite useable now. I assume it'll get better the longer it sits (within reason). I still wouldn't call it almond, I have no idea what to call the scent.

Gem FW Gem Blue Star Blade (5) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Palmolive Shave Stick Mennen Skin Bracer
The blade definitely felt a bit dull this morning. Tomorrow I'm moving on to a new Blue Star blade and a new razor...the Clog Pruf I think.

Friday, March 23, 2012 Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar Lather: MWF - face lather Brush: Semogue 820 Razor: Gem OCMM Blade: Pella PTFE (6); 3 passes Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Menthol So my first use of one of my new Semogues on the Fat was amazing. This was certainly the creamiest later I've created from Mitchell's & I'm not one that has any trouble lathering this soap. Yesterday I also received another AS from Mr. Krampert. This is a menthol AS with a very complex scent that I like a lot. I can see myself becoming addicted to this just like his bay rum. Overall, an excellent shave with a splendid finish to start off a family weekend. My parents arrived last night & are looking forward to spending time with their newest granddaughter.

I must have had my mind on something this morning. It looked like it was my first shave ever. Just little weepers, but not pretty.
Ah well, we'll just forget this one.
