I've used the Sabre with 2-3 days of growth and in my mind/experience this razor is similar to a bullet tip in that it feels mild but it is not. These razors have a tight efficient shaving angle; if you miss it then you will get either a mediocre shave or a weeper here or there. I still get a weeper or two near my adam's apple. I am weak ...

I'm now 8 shaves in on the Sabre (same blade) and I'm really getting both the angle and pressure dialed in. My lower neck is looking cleaner than ever and my last 2 shaves have had zero weepers there. Even on a days growth I must say that my stubble feels softer than usual. Yes, the shaving angle may have a narrow window but when you find it... OH MY!

Blackland Sabre Level Two? How do you feel weight and balance? I'm looking at this nice razor in the last year. Level One seems to be perfect for my taste as design. But 111g with 85mm handle, full steinless stell ... Specially at $185 + shipping + custom. Normally It's not my cup of tea.

I think it is fine to medium with a few heavy spots. I like a weighty razor and this feels well balanced. It sort of brings a 1912 shave up to date. T

IschiaPP, If you are UK based you might be able to get 1. I contacted Anthony @shavelounge and he got one sent over for me with his next Blackland delivery. He will quote a price and see if it suits you. T

Loving mine. Seems I have this weird thing where I use Tabac when I use my Sabre.

So my last post here was about 2.5 years ago. I was 8 shaves in at the time. Now, the Sabre is the only razor I use. I recently was given a Supply Single Edge injector to try, but that’s the first non-Sabre shave I’ve had in about 2+ years. My Artist Club blade razors are all boxed up including the original Mongoose, AlumiGoose, and the very first Colonial Razors General. I have an original stainless OneBlade boxed up until this last week where I’ve lent it to a friend.
The Sabre is my Goldilocks razor that pretty much finished my desire off for trying things and why I haven’t been around forums for so long. There wasn’t even a L2 head when I got away from trying things. I’ve toyed with the idea of getting the L2 head, but have talked myself out of it because the L1 can shave my thick, coarse stubble effortlessly even on 4+ days of growth. I’m probably going to loan it out to my same friend who has my OneBlade currently once I pick up a TNNSER 3D to try out. But since the Sabre and the TNNSER, have any other razors been made for GEM blades? I did not like the Rocnel version. Did Colonial ever do a GEM razor?
Oh well, I’m out of practice with forum posts so forgive my ramblings. Off to bed I go. Tomorrow I’ll try the 2-dot Supply head. The 3-dot aggressive head was way too much blade feel for me. That was the first time in 2+ years I had irritation on my lower neck and multiple weepers at the same time. I felt like a noob shaving again. Hopefully the 2-dot head will be milder feeling but not too much less efficient. Perhaps I’ll even snap a photo. 🤯

I've heard Blackland has an Injector model in the works. That's what I'm keeping an eye out for. Gem wise I'm quite happy with my Gem Junior. That looks like a very nice razor though.
