They look better than some I have picked up and put back into use.

They sure have had hard lives. Lots of character evident on them.

Awesome! Love the rougher looking ones. You know they were used at some point.

Let's see the "After" polishing shots....Even if the nickle is off of that Dammy in places...the brass underneath will polish up nicely! I bet that Dammy is gonna be one of the coolest looking razors in the Den! Actually thats true for both razors...Those Micromatics are bullet proof...I've seen ones that were dug up in WWII battlefields...Somebody with a metal detect uncovered one, on the site of the battle of the bulge, under layers of mud for 70 years..AND after cleaning the TTO MECHANISM STILL WORKED!!

I don't know that I'd polish it. I'd probably start just by cleaning it with a good detergent (surfactant) soak and a gentle brushing with a worn out tooth brush. If that doesn't do it for you, maybe some Flitz or Brasso. The key is gentle if at all. I destroyed the gold plating on a razor by getting too aggressive with polishing. So now I err on the side of caution. When I clean a razor I use Planisol-M. It's a strong surfactant, yet gentle. It's incredibly expensive, but maybe if you contact them they can put you in touch with someone who would sell you a bit of it. All one needs is a small quantity. www.greenpowerchemical.com/Links/Planisol-M

Tooth paste and a old tooth brush can clean a lot too.

flossing is never a bad idea you know, to clean well between each teeth (insert anti-humor emoticon)

I always do the tooth brush with whitening tooth paste.....and "scrubbing bubbles" ....I'm with both Fuzzy and Brian....I'm scared of Brasso unless the razor is already just brass...
BTW...PJ....I never told you, but your avatar was my favorite movie shave scene, since I was like 12....Everytime I see that pix I smile...};^))
