I've got one very similar. The case is not in as good shape, and the little box for blades is metal.

I'm down to two CP's one gold, one chrome. They are my favorite in the Micromatic line, it's darn near the perfect razor.

I have that same razor kit - and I do enjoy a run with it. I gotta admit secretly too that it is my favorite razor period to break out the brasso with!! Good times!

All of the Micromatic models were advertised as being gold plated. Are some just brass? Attachments:

I have one each of the Micromatics. I like them all... my favorite (today) is the "bullet-head" with the Clog-Pruf a close second. My OCMM and Clog-Pruf are both Nickel or Chrome plated and the Bullet-head is gold plated.

All of the Micromatic models were advertised as being gold plated. Are some just brass? Only when the plating wears off as far as I know. Maybe Armstrong cleaned it at one time? I know Armstrong got at my granddads Valet that I have in my possession. It was ratty before he worked on it, now it's just brass, any gold plate that remained is off of it now.
