Open Comb, Clog Pruf, or Flying Wing...if you use any of the Micromatic family and love them (or hate them!), share your experiences for the first week of April (April 1 through April 7) with us here.

I'll start out the MM posts with my shave experience for this April Fool's Day:
Sunday, 1 April
Gem OCMM Gem SS/PFTE Blade (1) Made-Rite 500PB Brush C.O. Bigelow Cream Vi-Jon Ivy Club Spice
There was no fooling about this shave. It reaffirmed why the OCMM remains my favorite razor, at least for closeness. It's the closest shave I've had in a while and very comfortable as well - which I attribute to my light beard growth (didn't get to shave until 2PM yesterday due to a morning of lawn work) and the fresh Pella-type blade.

Gonna get caught up...
Monday, 2 April
Gem OCMM Gem SS/PFTE Blade (2) Made-Rite 500PB Brush C.O. Bigelow Cream Barbasol Brisk
Tuesday, 3 April
Gem OCMM Gem SS/PFTE Blade (3) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Palmolive Shave Stick Barbasol Pacific Rush
For whatever reason, the shave on Monday was a little rough. I had a bit of irritation and even a couple of small weepers which almost never happens to me anymore. The shave this morning was far more comfortable while still being very close.
I'll be switching to the CP tomorrow for a some variety. I always get a very comfortable shave with it while sacrificing just a bit of closeness.

Wednesday morning:
Hot towel face prep Burma Shave soap Handcrafted badger brush OCMM GEM SS ptfe (9) KF bay rum
I'm fairly certain this is a vintage soap. Whatever though, it is a very useable soap. Nice lubricity, cushiony, and lots of easily made lather.
A very very nice shave.

I missed this by a week. I just spent all of last week getting great shaves from my OCMM. I'd go back to it but I found a local source for some Chinese Schicks which I hadn't tried in an injector so that's all I'm using until this first blade dies out. I hope you all enjoy this week like I enjoyed mine last week.

Friday:
My first ever shave with a Micromatic "Bullet", if I'm calling it the right thing? Nice razor. I like the weight and balance. Gem Stainless D3 AOS Pure Badger TOBS Jermny St. Krampert's Finest Bay Rhum with a couple of extra drops of glycerin.
Very nice BBS that will be better when I get my Ted Pella PTFE blades.

Catching up again:
Thursday, 5 April
Gem MM Clog Pruf Gem SS/PFTE Blade (5) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Palmolive Shave Stick Pinaud Clubman
Friday, 6 Aoril
No shave.
Saturday, 7 April
Gem MM Clog Pruf Gem SS/PFTE Blade (6) Made-Rite 500PB Brush C.O. Bigelow Cream Vi-Jon Ivy Club Spice
I started the week the OC and finished up with the CP. While I still consider the OC to be my favorite among all Gem razors for closeness, I've returned to feeling that the CP is the best for day-to-day performance. It gives a very comfortable shave with closeness just a notch below the OC. I believe I'll be going back to the CP as my go-to razor, just as it was in the past.
