For the last 3 years or so I really haven't been following all the new stuff that has come around in the shaving community. Haven't made many purchases, been living off my Shave Apocalypse stash. Anyway there used to be 3 types of injector blades that would fit a standard Schick injector: Persona in the white plastic magazine, Chicks in the metal magazine, and NOS. I may be reading this wrong but do they now have a blade made by Kai that is available. Also I thought I heard something about some Schick injector blades being made in Japan. Am I dreaming in technicolor or do these exist?

I asked someone across the street about how to get them...He said he thought probably by now someone here in the US is marketing them....I would think West Coast would have them if anybody did... But here is the exact answer he sent me:
[Hi I believe some blade supply Co has them in USA, but I order them from Japan from UK, though others have ordered from USA. IF you google Chic Babies B-20 you should get them on the Website- Rakuten Global Market. 1. You have to register as Member to buy, very easy and no cost.
2. We in UK order 2 packets & avoid Customs , 40 blades each good for 7 + Shaves.
3 The Key to ordering is to avoid EMS Shipping which is expensive. Put note to supplier specifying Post Small Packet. You do not pay until you are advised of Shipping cost. Delivery to UK about 2 weeks.
PS They also sell the Type P which is 50mm, and fits the Mongoose, Cobra etc Happy searching/shopping - Mike B.]
Ok Alan; I am now taking back control of your TV set....I'm back.....I have heard nothing but RAVE reviews....except for the shipping ...

I ordered some of those 2-3 days ago. Like Mike B said, by choosing the small packet option (alternative to ems) you can save on shipping. Have not tried them yet. edit: oh, I read tryable has them.

Are these the blades that jmudrick is using? I think you have to cross load then into a dispenser with the key on it. I could be wrong though.

Transferring to an empty clip is easily done. I have two clips of those blades coming in from Japan. If they are as good as their reputation then $17 for 40 blades delivered is a good deal. You can also get Schick Twin (and single) blades in clips with key from Japan. Often found on ebay, they are very good, but not exactly cheap.

The blades were delivered today from Japan - four days after paying for them - not bad at all. As the Schick Twin NOS blade in my H1 was already on shave #13 I replaced it with one of the Proline B-20 blades for today's shave. OMG. They are sharp! And smooth. If they last more than 5 shaves I'll get a couple of hundred in... Anything new gets tested with a standard four pass shave. While I'm now as smooth as can be, the alum block and alcoholic ASL told me that I might want to drop a pass or two next time round...

Do the Italian customs usually take awhile? Yes, they do. But I ordered only 2 clips on purpose, so that the goods value was staying below the threshold starting from which you pay custom duties and taxes. So, in theory, the customs should have released it faster than usual....unfortunately one cannot ever be sure of anything with the italian post.

Portugal can be fun too. It took forever for a featherweight I sent corto to arrive.

The idea of a gift being sent from a friend on the other side of the world is completely alien for them.
