Here is another of the 1912 style heads. The Treet has a baton handle like one model of the Gem 1912. The difference is that the Treet handle is solid where the Gem is hollow, and the Treet has a safty bar that looks more like the clog-pruf. The other 1912's have the closed comb. I like the shave from both. It would be hard to pick one style of safety bar over the other. Fuzzy Attachments:

Never seen one of those. I do like the style of the safety bar. What's the handle made of?

Wonderfully solid handle on the Treet. I find that the Gem baton handle ends up with soap and other yuck getting into the handle from the bottom if you are not vigilant. It isn't that easy to clean once it dries. The Treet solves this problem entirely with the solid handle and it does feel better in the hand IMHO.
I saw a lovely pink/red color one once and wish I had picked it up. Next time I spot one though - watch out baby!

I think they made a blue handle also. I would live to have all three.

I have a green one as well, and like it a lot. Besides the different comb/guard bar mine doesn't have PAT'D 1912 stamped on it,so I guess technically it isn't a 1912(?). I also have this maroon Baton handle 1912 Gem Junior that is stamped PAT'D 1912 but the handle is solid, unlike my black Baton's which are hollow like RocketMan said.

Since the head is so similar I usually refer to it as another 1912. I have not seen the maroon handle before. Something ELSE to hunt for. Is it possibly a Treet handle on a Gem head?

It could be, but I have no way to know since this is how it was when I got it. Since the head is so similar I usually refer to it as another 1912. I have not seen the maroon handle before. Something ELSE to hunt for. Is it possibly a Treet handle on a Gem head?

And yes, I'll definitely use it, that's what they're for. That is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!!!!! Wow HT!! You got some pull over at B&B!!! That is lovely - you gonna shave with that or ??

It is pretty. The more I think about it the more I think that maroon handle is a Treet handle. I have never seen other Gem handles in colors like that. I have seen the treet in blue green and Maroon. Hope it shaves as good as it looks.

You may very well be correct, it's hard telling what was done with it over the years before I got it. Well now it is officially a Treet, the Gem Junior frame will be used elsewhere. I'm working on cleaning up the green handle so that I can rotate the frame between them. It is pretty. The more I think about it the more I think that maroon handle is a Treet handle. I have never seen other Gem handles in colors like that. I have seen the treet in blue green and Maroon. Hope it shaves as good as it looks.
