Finally got around to shaving with this beauty. Colonel Ichabod Conk soap and finished off with Lucky Tiger aftershave and tonic. Got to give a shout out to the Vie Long 12705 horse hair brush(not pictured) A bit of an essence of the barnyard detected, but cant say it bothers me. Anyway the old fella shaved like a champ, as close to BBS as I get. This razor was in better shape than I expected for its age. Not a scratch, or pitting. Of the vintage razors I have including the vaunted TWMNBN.......I am most proud of this one. That sure is a beauty. When you get tired of her let me know. I have a perfect place to store it for you.

I am not going to let mine see these pics....they would get jealous. Glad it worked that good. I for one would love to see that horse brush. Don't worry the little smell will drop out soon.

That is a beautiful piece of shaving gear! One of the most gorgeous, intricate designs, not in the mechanical complexity sort of way, but visually.
