I have never been happier to have been fed incorrect information. It's been decades... Either I misunderstood or incorrectly remembered the circumstances of the Canadian gent who was required to be prosecuted by the German courts. It's been decades and my memory is foggy at best. I tried to post more and I simply can't remember specifics of that or something that I read in TIME magazine. Yeah, TIME, that bastion of superlative of accurate balanced reporting (not) . But back then I hadn't a clue. One just can't erase ones memories as one can with a computer.

Today I got another 'shave of a lifetime' from this beaute!!! Here is a last month SOTD shot with the gorgeous handle Sir Jay made... I think this razor, whether dress with Jay's killer handle or it's original metal handle is a first rate, heart breaker. What do you guys think? Do you prefer one look over the other?

I actually like the feel and looks of the wooden handles over the metal ones. But, that's me. Let's see what others think.

My vote is for the look of the wooden handles. I can't say that I've shaved with one yet, but (and I know this isn't the case) it just feels more time-appropriate to me. Plus I'm a sort of a weirdo-wood guy...I like walking through the woods and identifying different trees, I like working with it (although my skills are rudimentary at best), I like the smell of it (live, freshly cut or even decaying)....yup, weird-wood guy!

Jims handles are great. Love the feel of a wood handle on a lather catcher. Not so much on models that did not have them at some point.

Just watched your YT video about using adapters with the “old gals”. Was able to purchase 3 from a 3D printer service. They fit perfectly and I’m waiting to try them out.

If I ever grab a LC for a decent value, I am coming to visit you for the handle.
