Monday, April 9, 2012 Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar Lather: MWF - face lather Brush: Semogue 1250 Razor: Schick I1 Injector Blade: Chinese Schick (5); 3+ passes Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum Shave #5 for the Chinese Schick & it still feels like new. Again, not a great lather from the 1250. I'll use the 1438 on Mitchell's tomorrow to really compare.

Monday, April 9
Razor: GEM Damaskeene Blade: GEM stainless Brush: VDH Pure Badger Lather: Lord Emofresh A/S: Alum, Lucido splash, Aloe Vera Gel, Daiso A/S Balm
Result: First shave with my latest Ebay acquisition. It's a rather worn Damaskeene. The head looks good but the handle is pretty ugly. The shave was very nice. DFS+

Mon. Brush: Vie-Long Horse Soap/Creme: Poraso Green (old formula) Razor: PAL Adjustible Injector Blade: Chinese Schick Pre: Poraso pre/post Post: Stephan's Lilac
First shave with the Pal and I don't like the it at all. It seems to work okay, but I much prefer the hydro-magic.

Monday, 9 April
Gem Slim-V HFT Gem SS/PFTE Blade (8) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Palmolive Shave Stick Barbasol Brisk
Spending some time with the HFT this week after a fairly long hiatus. Even though I don't get the closeness from it that the OCMM or the 1912 gives me, I always appreciate how great the HFT feels in my hand. The balance of the handle really works for me.

Tuesday morning:
GFT rose cream (nice stuff!) $.50 Chinese boar EverReady '29 GEM SS ptfe (14) KF menthol
I had this cream sample for almost a year and I added some water to it approx' a week ago as it was beginning to thicken. Now all of the GFT samples are creamy again. I hadn't used this before; great performance, I love the smell of roses, but it's just not a scent for being on my person. For the right person this would be outstanding.
It was still a fantastic shave.
