Friday morning:
Mikes NS, Mint & Rosemary Simpson Special pure badger Schick adj set to 6 (the travelin' razor) Chinese Schick (3) KF menthol
I just can't bring myself to follow Mikes Mint with anything other than menthol.
A very nice shave. But I want to try the razor on "8" before cleaning it and sending it on it's way. That will probably happen on Monday. The blade is still quite good.

Friday, April 13, 2012 Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar Lather: Cade - face lather Brush: Semogue 1438 Razor: Schick I1 Injector Blade: Chinese Schick (7); 3+ passes Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Menthol Shave #7 on this blade & I'm just now starting to notice a slight drop in its sharpness. No tugging or pulling so I'm sure I can get at least a few more shaves out of it. Once again I find the Cade & KF Menthol to be a great pairing.

- lPrep: Hot Shower & Hot Towel
- Brush: Knotty Roddy refurb with TGN Silvertip knot
- Cream: TOBS Eton College
- Razor: '12 GEM SE
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated GEM SE (shave 1)
- A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner
- EDT: SCS Smoke & Beads EDT
- Result: Fine BBS shave. First pass was with the Pella blade on shave 10 and it just did not work. So I re-lathered that side of my face and changed to a new blade. Worked so well I did not need a buffing pass.

SaturdayGeorgetown G4 scuttle Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil Somerset Simpson Keyhole 2 Best brush Queen Charlotte Briar soft soap Schick M1 Adjustable razor Personna PTFE blade (1) Floid Blue aftershave A great shave. I set the Schick on 5, and it was perfect. BBS with no irritation or nicks at all. And the Floid Blue, from a sample, was quite good, light and fresh.

1912 Gem Junior Gem SS/PFTE Blade (13) Made-Rite 500PB Brush KMF Cool Mint Cream Vi-Jon Ivy Club Spice
I bought a tube of the KMF Cool Mint shaving cream this morning and tried it out. I have a new best friend among creams now. The KMF Cool Mint was the most refreshing cream I've tried to date, even beating out the cooling sensation of Proraso/C.O. Bigelow. I had tried the KMF Key Lime cream some time ago and was not overly impressed. The lather was quite slick but seemed to fade very quick. The Cool Mint is nothing like that for me; it produced a rich lather with good cushioning properties that easily lasted through two passes with touch up. It'll be taking a primary spot in the rotation and I'll definitely be purchasing more, especially considering its dirt cheap price tag.

Sunday Morning:
GFT violet cream Simpson Special best badger Schick traveling razor set to 8 Chinese Schick (5 I think) KF reformulation #1 Bay Rum
Another great shave! Easily on a par with any other aggressive razor I own; a 2 1/3 pass BBS shave.
The razor gets sent to the next in line tomorrow.
