Monday, April 16
Razor: GEM Junior Blade: GEM stainless Brush: Synthetic Lather: Kiss My Face Lavender and Shea A/S: Lucido splash
Result: Second shave with my latest Ebay acquisition. It's a nearly pristine GEM Junior with the fat plastic handle. Very Nice shave... Could be my favorite in the 1912 family. Mostly BBS.

Tuesday, April 17, 2012 Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar Lather: De Vergulde Hand cream - face lather Brush: Vulfix 2234 Razor: Schick E2 Injector Blade: Chinese Schick (2); 2+ passes Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum Another excellent shave with the E2 today. First use of a badger brush in quite some time and with the Vulfix is was super soft and luxurious. This was my first use of the DVH cream and just like their soap it's Gold! It's a very thick cream and I used more than needed but that's ok. The scent isn't as strong as the soaps so for those that think the soap is too strong then the cream would be an excellent option. DVH products lather ridiculously easy and give great glide and protection. The KF Bay Rum was a perfect finish as always. My newborn daughter's butt is jealous today!

Tuesday morning:
Speick stick milled into a bowl Omega 10019 boar OCMM GEM SS ptfe (16 and canned) KF bay rum reformulation 1
A fantastic shave despite the age of the blade. I canned it not because it was displaying any negative qualities, but because I didn't want to push it. ;D

Tuesday AMMoss scuttle Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap Somerset Simpson Beaufort 3 Pure brush TOBS Sandalwood shaving cream Schick M1 Adjustable razor Personna PTFE blade (3) Armani Code aftershave balm A great shave. I'm really loving this Schick adjustable. I'm not fond of the sandalwood scent of the cream, but it has wonderful cushion and glide. And the aftershave balm is one of my wife's favorites: when Mama's happy, everybody's happy.

Wednesday AMMoss scuttle Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap Somerset Simpson W2 Best brush RazoRock XXX shaving cream soap Schick E5 razor Personna PTFE blade (1) Aramis Tuscany per Uomo aftershave balm A good shave. I've decided that the handles of my three E type injector razors are just too short to feel comfortable in my hand, so I'm going to sell them.

Wednesday, April 18
Razor: GEM Junior Blade: GEM stainless Brush: VDH Pure Badger Lather: L'Occitane Cade Soap A/S: Alum, Lucido splash, Aloe Vera Gel
Result: Mostly BBS! I'm really loving this razor! It will be hard to rotate from it. Thanks again to Brian for his posting comparing the different 1912 models. I would never have tried the Jr if I hadn't read his review.

Wednesday, April 18, 2012 Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar Lather: De Vergulde Hand "Extra fris" - face lather Brush: Simpson Commodore X2 Razor: Schick E2 Injector Blade: Chinese Schick (3); 2 passes Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum Enjoying a couple shaves with my best badger brushes lately as I'm expecting a couple more boar brushes to break in as b'day presents this weekend. The X2 and DVH paired excellently to give me a Gilded B'day Shave. Only 2 passes needed from the E2 to achieve a very nice DFS. Finished with the best aftershave around, Krampert's Finest.

Thursday AMDoug Smith scuttle Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap Somerset Simpson Beaufort 2 Pure brush Tcheon Fung Sing shaving cream soap Schick M1 Adjustable razor Personna PTFE blade (3) Acqua di Parma Colonia aftershave balm Another great shave. The TFS soft soap was really good, as always. I'm beginning to think that I may get a smoother, closer shave with the injector than with a DE razor, without as many nicks. But maybe it's too soon to tell.

Friday AMDoug Smith scuttle Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil Somerset Simpson Berkeley 46 Best brush Ralph Lauren Safari shaving soap Gem 1912 razor Gem Stainless blade(1) Ralph Lauren Safari aftershave Switching around among DE, SE, and injector razors is somewhat difficult at times, but I'm BBS again. The old RL soap and AS are great. And since we have the ballet tonight and it's my wife's birthday, I'll probably be shaving again later this afternoon.
