Sunday morning:
GFT rose cream Simpson Special pure badger OCMM GEM Ted Pella 121-1 test blade Gem SS ptfe (1) Kramperts Finest Bay Rum
Blade test of another Ted Pella blade that I was sent, that is, a test blade. OK, so that didn't last long. It's a window scraper blade. I installed a good blade and I was off to the races.

Friday, April 20
Razor: Ever Ready 1914 Blade: GEM carbon steel Brush: VDH Pure Badger Lather: Palmolive Stick A/S: Alum, Lucido splash, Aloe Vera gel
Result: Another "new" SE razor. A little tricky to get the balde in just right, but the shave is great!
Saturday, April 20
Razor: Ever Ready 1914 Blade: GEM carbon steel Brush: VDH Pure Badger Lather: L'Occitane Cade soap A/S: Alum, Lucido splash, Aloe Vera gel
Second day with the "little lather catcher". I like the razor, but I think I'll like it better with PTFE coated blades.

Catching up (big time!):
Wednesday, 18 April
1912 Gem Junior Gem SS/PFTE Blade (3) Made-Rite 500PB Brush KMF Cool Mint Cream Pinaud Clubman
Tuesday, 19 April
Gem Feather Weight Gem SS/PFTE Blade (4) Made-Rite 500PB Brush C.O. Bigelow Cream Vi-Jon Ivy Club Spice
Friday, 20 April
Gem Feather Weight Gem SS/PFTE Blade (5) Made-Rite 500PB Brush KMF Cool Mint Cream Vi-Jon Swan Arctic Blue
Saturday, 21 April
Gem Feather Weight Gem SS/PFTE Blade (6) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Vi-Jon Ivy Club Spice
Sunday, 22 April
Gem Feather Weight Gem SS/PFTE Blade (7) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Pinaud Clubman
It's been a great week of shaving. I've gotten the usual mild shaves from the Feather Weight and have tried the Arko stick for the first time. I've found the scent to be pretty funky as most people do but the lather is fantastic. It's definitely a keeper as far as I'm concerned. After this first trial stick comes to an end, I'll be buying a box of sticks since the price is ridiculously cheap when purchasing them in bulk.

Sunday, April 22 Razor: Ever Ready 1914 Blade: GEM Stainless Brush: VDH Pure Badger Lather: Godrej Menthol Mist Cream A/S: STYPTIC!, Alum, Lucido splash, Aloe Vera gel Third day with the "little lather catcher". A great shave except for "one false move..." Amazing how much a little cut on the neck can bleed! The 1914 is very nice and it's in remarkable shape for its age (and price).

Well, yeah, lots of folks do think that about ARKO as well as Williams. I actually like the scent however. Call it lemon verbena or citronella it smells the same to me. Lemony, like biting insect season. Maybe that's why I use it more in the summer. The price is incredible.
